btw anyone else use Cosmos UI tweak?  highly recommended :> coolest features are a quest tracker that displays active quest objectives, additional toolbars, a DPS tracker (including DPS for each of your spells, pet, etc), auto-tell group when you need healing, etc etc etc. 

it's also very modular, and I plan on adding a couple features tonight - such as a bag autosort mechanism, and a macro to use my warlock's healthstones without having to re-drag it to the toolbar every time I use one...

I'd kind of like the guild just to be a brief homage to NS, not dedicated to it.  I liked Nooblet's idea of Frontiersmen.  Just call it that, but don't advertise its origin or make it affect other stuff (like ranks).  It sounds like a natural guild name to people who have never played NS, so they'll never know the difference.

However, if you all want to do something else I'm fine with that too, it doesn't really matter one way or another.  Just send me the invite when you do.   :lol:

Btw, my buddy finally got WoW and started last night (I didn't play at all yesterday so I'm not sure what his character name is yet, prolly Bastadon), so he'll be joining us too.  Orc Warrior iirc.

well, not utterly broken, just buggy... like, it has a 'feature' to autosort every time you pick something up, but of course sorting means it goes through your entire inventory, moving everything, monopolizing your cursor for a few seconds, etc... which really sucks if you just got 1 piece of junk from a corpse while you're in combat...

and the ability to turn off the auto-sort (so that it only sorts on command) seems to not be working atm

but I swear the other features rawk you =P lemme take a quick SS of my interface...

things worth noting: 2 sidebars, quest monitor, DPS monitor, clock, xp monitor/other stats, buff info/timeleft, soulshard monitor (for warlocks), clunky xp bar moved to portrait, macros to attack + send pet to attack w/ 1 button and to use a healthstone w/o dragging it to my toolbar every time I use one...

edit: of course those huge windows aren't always there - everything is fully smart and configurable and the detail windows only come up when you hover over their tiny counterparts.

There's a level 45+ Night Elf hunter named Vixen on Sargeras who runs around the Hillsbrad areas ganking people with loads of other Alliance... people. If you ever complain about being ganked while doing a quest, people on your own side will start bashing you, going on about how "This is a PvP server ololo". They don't seem to understand that there is a difference between PvP and a bunch of level 40+ ganking everyone in the area. Vixen's been levelling so fast, I wouldn't be surprised if a group of Alliance will be able to take the Tarren Mill guards in a week or two. Major pain in the ass, I really hope they impliment some sort of honor system soon.

Agreed big time.  I refuse to engage in PvP until the honor system gets implemented.  I'm guessing it was slated to go in already but the devs got occupied with the other problems that appeared.  Hopefully someone who makes too many dishonorable kills will be prevented from "ganking" someone of significantly lower level...

How exactly does the game define something as honourable or not? I'm not trying to be clever I just genuinely don't know 'cause I don't have the game...

it was announced, back in the day, that killing people that are WAY lower than your level, like 10 and such would get you "dishonor points" these keep adding up and no ones gonna consider you home. Eventually your equip would wear out and start to break, but no ones gonna repair it for ya cause your an outlaw.
it was a great idea, and I dont know what happened to it.

okay, so me and a friend went on a quest and he got himself WOW

it only took a couple of hours, and convinving of parental units to give rides

I just grind, really really boring, so I usually switch it up with quests every other day or so. Anyways, my levelling areas went something like:
1) Nub Areas/Secondary Nub Area (i.e. IF > Stormwind) to 15+
2) Westfall - 20
3) Redridge/Duskshire - 30
4) Southshore/Desolace/Badlands - 35
5) I'll prolly be going to Arathi/Desolace again soon. Don't know yet.

Above was for Alliance, mainly, though I s'pose Horde could generally do the same (with their own respective areas, of course). Those aren't my actual level numbers when I moved on, just a general range of my level.

Right now, the guild leader is grinding his professions and gathering a lot of the materials we'll need, along with farming equipment and stuff (since no one else on our server can take the mobs he can so far =P)

Noticed a general trend in those rarer item drops: If no one has camped the spawn for a while, higher chance of getting the rare items (Leader got non-stop blue drop after blue drop when he moved to a new area no one else went to yet)
