Hera has a nice 'ooh' factor for the changes, but looking at it level-headedly there are some obvious problems. Tons of res in easy range of MS. Yeah, the command closet sucks, so you reloc to cargo. Don't even need a welder or any effort for that now. Then you take double through the easy new passageway, send one guy down to maint access to get that new node. Get reception and you can siege double OR the new outside-of-archiving node. The long U shaped glass hallway was changed to allow even quicker access to reception. The way I read the mapping guidelines, maps were SUPPOSED to be designed like that, to make it take TIME to get from one place to another.
The double siege from processing was FINALLY fixed by moving the hive back a wee bit (thank god) but all the other rather needless changes have made this map a marine's dream.
Edit: Oh yeah and kestrel is laughable. The new room up above MS allows a perfect launching pad for skulks into the CC pit, or for xenociding, or to just camp up there and wait til a stupid marine comes up the ladder.
And the new areas in rebirth haven't really done much to counter marines not moving out. Take out the shooting ranges, and we'll talk. Right now you can camp in the far corner opposite the CC and have enough time to kill almost anything that comes in. =/
