So what if I relocate to somewhere where noone ever has before?
How do you think any of the current "good" relocations came about?

So what if we loose a round? Most of the relocations I can win, so stop complaining already!!!!

I have fun spawning in odd places :)

Especially when it's in some location that leaves me stranded, only to sit there and shoot at the skulks on the far away walkway (think of the ledge across the res node over the endless pyet of dewm on caged)

Ahh, I love relocating, but often times my marines wander off before I get in the chair.  I totally support relocating. <3

Odd relocations always add new flavor to a game of NS.  Just as long as the Comm realizes that beacon sends you to the MS not the relocated spot.

My ribbing you the other day for relocating to the Sat Comm hallway on Tanith was all joking around, devicenull. ;) Sorry if I offended you. :(

Relocating used to be the only thing that kept me amused comming in 2.01.  It's too bad bacon makes it not quite as effective.  Still, I will support any relocation, no matter how much of a military blunder!

Thats the best part!

/me sees onos destroying MS node
/me hits bacon
*onos gets obliderated*
Onos:  WTF?!

I also like relocating, controlling the nodes by the relocation, and beaconing my marines back whenever I want to re-cap/save the nodes by MS.  Good stuff.  Pretty hard to defend though, nothing some late game turrets can't fix. :p

Weird reloc are the best by far. Generally because they aren't used... and if they aren't used, chances are the alien team doesn't have too much experiance dealing with them.. Which gives the marines an edge.

The ones commonly thought of as "the best" probably aren't. I mean, most are double nodes which are near impossible to properly defend or areas near or in hives, which are often sided for the aliens as they are on the alien side of the map.

Reloc 1: Atmos on bast. Lets face it, everyone relocates there at least once. Aliens are used to it and probably have a fairly good idea of how to go about dealing with it by now. Marines set up base, but are unable to take Feed properly. They get pwned. Game time 15 minutes.

Reloc 2: The vents west(?) of MS on bast, going towards Feedwater. They aren't common for a marine relocation, yet I have seen marines with out hmgs, sg or pretty much anything short of an armslab put up a very good fight spanning from 30 to 60 minutes in there against 3 hive aliens.. and it was a last chance relocation. There was a good 30 minutes of fighting before hand.

Now, in both situations the marines lost. But, they were able to survive a lot longer in the vents than in Atmos, although the vents are not very close to many res nodes, they still served for great natural defence against the aliens. Most of the time with the aliens forced to come through long, narrow openingings to get to the marine base.

You can keep relocating as much as you want, I won't complain, it adds some spice to the game. However, during the game, I like to give feedback on the location that you relocated to. :)

Right now I am more into practicing my aim as a marine, but I guess I'll hop in the chair a little more in the close future.
