opera is not free, legally

also firefox has:

yes, i am aware of the fact that opera is free with ugly ads
yes, i am aware of the fact that opera can be free without ads, but that's just mean/not nice/bannable

and firefox loads itself and pages faster

You got no l33t points unless you install mouse gestures.

Once is started using them, I've never been able to stand a browser without them.

er.. Not psychic.. Just reading off the same profile.. since the profiles are stored outside the programs actual folder, no matter what folder you intall it to, it will always have all that stuff stored.
Hell.. I have yet to even figure out where the profiles are held.. I just know they aren't in the firebird/firefox folder  o_O

lol!

I've used opera, IE and mozilla's firebird/fox and to be honest this is just the one I was most comfortable with in the end =3

Opera's ok but it just kinda feels clunky plus there's no way I'm paying for it just to stop the top part take up so much of my screen with it's ad.  As far as I'm concerned the browser better be free with no ads or I'll just end up using those that are =p
Not that I'm a cheapskate or anything, just that I don't view browsers in particular as something we should have to pay for.

so.. just explain to me why paying for a browser is better than not paying for one with the exact same features?

Obviously you canadians don't understand the american concept of money being god. Ergo, anything that costs money is better than anything that doesn't cost money. And anything that costs MORE money is better than anything that costs less money. Yes, our corporations pwn us.

Nah you can have IE still installed. In fact, you can't really uninstall IE from any version of windows after 95 without some tricky finagling. But whether you'll ever want to touch IE anymore after trying a good browser is another question entirely...
