Offical Spray Request Thread

Hey I would like a spray.  and or a sig.  like just my name hence
<--------that name yeah........ and maybe like a icecycle looking design or something with cool colors and maybe my name semii transparent.  i could do it but i no got photoshop :*(

OK IceSmacks.  It's done... have a looksee.  Tell me what you think, and don't be affraid to ask if you want me to change something... it is your spray after all.  The next two posts will tell you how to put it into your spray folder and feel free to use the image as a sig.  Have fun.

should be something like C: >> Program Files >> Steam >> Steamapps >>(Your e-mail) >> half life >> nsp.

I don't kno what is a good size for a spray so I made this one at
200 x 200 Pixles
Its just over 11kbs
If it needs to be smaller I can shrink it.

I try messing with photo programs but I had no luck !

If you can wait until then, perhaps I'll even write a wee tutorial for everyone so we can all learn how to make sprays.

The dimensions can be tricky.  First, both the length and width need to be a multiple of 16 (so 200 will not do - you've gotta either go up to 208 or down to 192).  

Second, when you multiply the length times the width, the number of pixels cannot exceed 12280 (200 x 200 equals 40,000)  SO there's definitely going to have to be some clippage and resizing.

To make it transparent you have to set a transparency color.  Since it'll be difficult to explain now, I'll just include it in the tutorial

Bleh, nothing special here

made it a 256 indexed color gif with the last color being the transparent color that meets all requirements to be converted to a spray. 'Tis 96x96 and blah blah blah and all that, it works now.
