But I'm right handed.

I'm pretty sure I could get used to asdf or whatnot but I started using arrow keys and haven't changed much.

I'm ambi, but my mouse is on my right and I use WASD.


I think I might investigate chamber binds to arrow keys.. I do think its an advantage to be able to spam chambers when I have lots of res.

I have a friend who is obsessive about using arrow keys. He doesn't have an obsessive disorder or anything, but he's a very organized person; can't stand asymmetry. Therefore, the way the "W" is to the left slightly irritates him, so he doesn't use it. However, they do have these curvy keyboards that would probably solve that.

Anyway, chamber binds really are useful. It takes a lot less time than pressing your popupmenu key, left, up, or whatever, which can make a big difference if you have a fade or onos waiting on those DCs.

my setup is fairly simple, but i dont feel like posting the config so ill tell you instead:

If I were to comm, I'd probably just hotkey meds and ammo. Most structures are easy to place using the whole QWERASDFZXCV thingy.

FYI the NUM_PAD entries are mouse buttons. For some reason i can't bind 4 more of them to anything other than mwheel up and down. I think the second pair is mwheel left and right. Hl really doesn't like that.

odd story, even though i am and always have been left handed at everything else, i used to use my right hand on mouse untill i kept breaking it / the wrist.

(probably started from 'trading off deaths' in counter-strike back in the day with right handed friends and my brother)

so now its left handed with the mouse buttons as if i'm right handed, wtfhax.

i think most of it is defaultish except i put z as +jump for lerking (spacebar jumping as lerk sucks) , got idea from saltzbad.

Regarding the FPS part...Did you disable V-Sync?
Taking care of the place while the master is away.
