Why not Guildwars? It's free per month, pretty, and user friendly.

The caps are because i am frustrated with reg night Low, this is the second time by my count that i couldnt get in because the password was not posted, i have no idea why, yeah, probably someone forgot.

Nope, Java IRC dont work, my computer doesnt run some programs for some reason i cant figure out yet, and IRC is one of them.

Im still wondering if IRC has become the Need To Know Only discussions?

Uhm.. I don't think anyone has told you, but the reg nights are officially known as NSSM nights. Or No Silly Suicidal Monkey Nights. :o

Finally, next week we'll have an announcement of another new game that will be coming to Steam that wasn't built here at Valve.

that came from the latest Steam Update News.

is it ns?

What else COULD it be? Isn't NS still the most popular 3rd party HL1 mod?

Off Topic / Awesome Multiplayer Games
« on: August 04, 2005, 11:00:43 AM »
This is just a list of really cool, novel (ok, some leniency here), and fun Multiplayer games out there. Add the ones you can think of with a brief description if it's obscure:
NS
SourceForts
Thievery (you know Thief? imagine it multiplayer, with players playing guards)
Air Buccanneers (slow moving cannon fun from air balloons! FUN!)
Tie Fighter (so I hear)
Falcon 3.0 (probably one of the very first MP online games on the intarweb, highly technical)
Swarm (that UT2k4 mod with top down, squad based gameplay of rines vs aliens)
Savage (well, ok, it's pretty..)
Allegiance (incredibly deep RTS/Space Flight game, CLOSE THE PIE HOLE FEWLIO!)
GuildWars (apparently squad based PvP is really nifty)
Tribes (never got into it, but ppl who like it, like it alot)
BF2 (the squads make the game much more intimate and memorable)
Hostile Intent (CS with MORE realism!)
The 500 zillion WC3 custom games
Diablo 2 (just kidding!)

Perhaps the Comedian from The Watchmen, because he was burly, incredibly cynical, raw evil, and worked for the government!

Soundwave is up there, because his voice was pure awesomeness.

Destro is on the shortlist too, shiny headedness is nothing to scoff at. He also had a snazzy uniform.

Ah, same with Zartan, as he does the same thing I do when I come in contact with the outside "AARRGHHH! SUNLIGHT!!"

Skeletor for his utter cravenness. You need a good whopping of cravenness for a supervillain.

And, btw, most of y'all LOSE for not stating WHY you chose who you chose, sheesh!

except Crouching Tiger was a disgrace to Chinese fighting, but hey, if you've never seen a Chinese fighting movie before, it must've seemed awesome. Granted Crouching Tiger did have it's moments, they weren't enough to warrant it as an "awesome" movie that won as many awards as it did. IMO, overrated movie that was way too hyped up.

I'm pretty sure Brazilian JuJitsu can disgrace Chinese Fighting all by itself as well :p    XD

This isn't ns.org I&S :p :p

Apparently it could do a lot of the stuff you see int he movie, 0-60 in 7 seconds, 7 miles to the gallon :o, and do a non-ramped 40 foot jump.

I don't know what all this congrats is about, but I do want to warn you that a BABY has TAKEN OVER YOUR WEBSITE! I'm not sure how she used her chubby little fingers to code up some HTML and then hax0r up your site, but you SHOULD be warned!!! She's even taunting you by showing pictures of herself sleeping, like she cracked yer site ASLEEP! OGM!

Much congratulations and cigar passing and whatnot. And best of luck as you relive what are, apparently, living-on-2-hours-of-sleep zombie months :D

Anyone here use Steam on Linux? My bro is using Fedora Core 3.0  and is having a bugger of a time running Steam. He can get it to install on WinE, it tries to connect, but seems to bork out. Anyone got clues on this?

(Ok, I'm coming clean, he's trying to play CS: Condition Zero (don't hate me!)) ;)

Don't you know the essentials about me already? I always have trouble replying to nonspecific questions such as "tell me something about yourself" anyway. Ask my job interviewers. I'm older than aeroripper, though.

LF is a mid-twenties German who spent some time in... uh.. crap.. Denmark? Holland? Netherlands? One of those. He went to a really funky school that was all open ended and stuff and met cool people and chilled, he lurved it. He then plied his hand at... electrical engineering, I think. He didn't like that, not his cup o' tea! So he took a while stressin' what to do with his life.

He's now in school learning network/pc support/general IT stuff and hopes to enter the wide world of Working sooner, rather than later.

Hey BM, I dont think anybody else apart from you speaks "****ing retard" here. Maybe if you toned down the "LOL I HAVE TEH SERVAR AND IT IS TEH REI" and "LOL I R NERD LOL I POST IN INCONCIEVABLE BULL**** AT EVERY AVALIABLE OPPORTUNITY" then people might think you aren't a complete ****got.
