If I'm not mistaken, the Lunixmonster was switched to a windows 2000 server when 2.1d was released, wasn't it?

*edit* At any rate, it's been WIndows for as long as 3.0's been on it.

LM is a Windows server because NS servers on Linux suck, I think. Laggy and CPU-heavy.

I remember that TAK. It always said: "Drink SunnyD" (or something to that nature) every time you joined.

LM still says that if you try to use an admin command that you do not have access to. It says "no access, try some SunnyD instead".
Don't ask me why I know that ^_^.

By the way, if anyone here ever seriously refers to Microsoft "M$", "Micro$oft", "Micro$haft" or any similar variants... I'll shove your head (further?) up your butt myself.

Because Microsoft is evil... The $ is Microsoft indicates they want money... and anyone who wants to make money MUST be evil! And idiots with ^^ty names that make 'better' OSes that don't even come with freaking GUIs are superior, because they DON'T want to make money! I mean, what with the lack of service and support, relying on others to fix your issues, it's GOT to be better!

o_O Now if only I knew what I said...

Now anymore bashing of Microsoft will result in my doing nasty evil things.

Maybe it's like in Germany, where Quake in all its variants is forbidden and evil. Hence if you want to advertise it in your catalogue (NO PICTARS), you write Q**** instead, or the german word for quake, 'beben'. Everyone knows what you're talking about, except the powers that be. Or maybe they do know, but you can always feign ignorance. And it's just like that. I expect that if I'd ever dare write Micro$oft the real way, the fiery pits of hell would open up beneath me and swallow me whole. I'd probably land butt-first in a pile of pitchforks. Oh the stinging.

I find that steel nails at the joints are necessary for maximum strength.  I've tried using some smaller bones as pegs, but it just doesn't have the same old lasting strength.  Good luck with that.

statistically linux based servers have less lag and use less cpu power than their ms equivalents. only problem is that ns server was made for windows and has not been properly ported as the devs (primarily joev) appear to be working  on bug-squashing and the BUS
