I am a nub at things. keeping my computer at top shape is one of those things. i just recently figured out that the globe icon at the top of Ad-Aware updates it... well I did a scan this morning prior to updating and then one just a few mins ago... GG Thornub.

Did you manage to accumulate all that yourself?  Or do you have computernub idiots running around using your computer?

The way to keep people away from your computer is knowing more about it than they do. If I'd put a BIOS password on mine, for example, and set it to require it at startup, I'm confident that my family would NOT be able to get at it without intentionally doing damage to it. And if they wanted to do damage to it, a sledgehammer would do the trick, so I can't really prevent that, can I? So do an inconspicious check of your bro's knowledge of BIOS.

1. Stop going to ALL those porn sites.

2. The popup that says 'Do you want to instally horrible spyware which will rape your computer into submission as if it were a blubbering little schooligirl -- Click here to continue! {Yes} {No}' is NOT something you click yes on.

3. Download, install, love: Mozilla

4. STOP going to ALL those porn sites!!!!!!

5. Really!

mozilla is a good browser as is avant they both have built in pop up blockers which as bob mentioned the pr0n site popups you see with IE won't be seen with either of those two

if you like ie a lot use avant since it is an IE kernel browser but far superior to IE

Wow, I scan once in a while and I get rid of everything, through quarintining or manually. I've learned a bunch of the registry niches that some adware hangs out in ^_^

Yeah, PM me for some clean ones.  ^_^

I almost never scan my computer, because I generally keep it clean. I don't download random stuff all the time, and the only time I had some virii that I can think of is when I clicked that IRC link that Evangelion posted
