cs_rio is a fun map. Cramped combat in the alleyways, rooftop shooting, many paths going everywhere. Be sneaky (and lucky) enough and you can get in and out without having to face opposition at all. The soccer field's a plus, although you risk somebody sniping the ball from a far-off rooftop just to get back at you. :p

i'm simply posting maps that are fun and you don't have to download a 5 MB map.

if you want custom maps then i'd suggest like cs_arabstreets and several aim maps.

yeah, we're trying to stay away from "fun maps" that only have like 2 types of guns and such. We're looking for fully functional maps with the objective and everything (although, personally, i wouldn't mind de_rats...)

I've heard that there's a heaven and hell in shogun, I've only found hell (not that i'm saying it means anything... <_< ).  Where's heaven?

So many of the popular CS maps are just big ugly square brushes with a total of maybe 5 textures for the whole map and one default half-life skybox. I could probably whip out a CS map in about five minutes.  :p

Amen to that bob, those maps are only good for honing your response time, but then again, thats why we play NS...

Either way, i havent played to many custom maps, i'm a big fan of the originals

Yeah but no one plays doombank anymore because, honestly, and DOOM will admit this, it looks terrible. Banana went back and remade it with the same layout but MUCH better textures and some well needed connectivity tweaks. But I still hold a happy place in my heart for the good old doombank. I spent a lot of time on that map... /nostalgia
