I agree, the avatar is VERY bad to read, and the sig is possably too dark. I may tweak with it some more.

You should always have a text color that varies greatly in shade from whatever's behind it. If it's a darker background, the text should be lighter, and vice versa.

yes, what grimm said, or if you must have it that color, give it a small stroke or outer glow of a color that stands out against the background, but also doesnt make the text look bad. Adjust the opacity of the stroke/glow if needed aswell.

better in the fact that it's more legible, yes... but i tlooks like you just hit the checkbox beside glow and left it the way it was... you know, if you click the name beside the checkbox you get a whole assortment of options! It took me months of fiddling around in photoshop before i figured it out. ^__^
