I must say I like Onslaught.

So I'm thinking of buying UT, however, what's a good game without a good server?

i voted never, since i probably won't buy the game, im a poor slob you see. and i think other games will be more important for my halfyearly birtday/christmas game.

this is the .44 Wand, the most powerful wand in the world, so did I fire 5 or 6 fireballs? Now you got to ask yourself one question pal, do I feel lucky? Well do ya punk?

I'm tempted to get ut2k4 just because it's a god-like modding engine and the amount of helpful mod tools and tuts they're shoving in the package is almost heart-warming ^^

who knows... I might even play onslaught XD

I'm gonna have to go with neither... I'm not really sure. I might be willing to invest the money if a lot of people get it, but since it will probably be 50 - 60 dollars I can't really justify that without a lot of incentive. Although the onslaught mode IS fun, the rest of the gameplay modes I can take or leave. And I really don't like the feel of the weapons, feels like I'm throwing styrofoam at the enemy... they seem to do nothing. So yeah, I'll basically just follow the crowd on this one.

I thought it was supposed to cost $40? If it does, it could be worth the money.

I would. Downloaded the demo and found Onslaught to be pretty darn enjoyable. The vehicles are really cool, all of them. And that big deployable thingie? Can't wait to try it out. So I'll most likely be buyin' the 2k4. Pity I can't play online though. But if there was a Lightning Blue™ UT2k4 Onslaught Server connected to my computer somehow? I'd hit it. Sadly there's no "I'd play if I had the internet hooked up to my computer"-option available, so null vote.

uh... I'm kinda behind the times on this but why can't you play on the net anymore anyways fighter? =o

as for 2k3 sucking, is anyone really gonna argue with that?  2k4 onslaught is definitely a giggle, though I can't see it actually keeping my attention for longer than a week =/

if I do buy 2k4 (just starting to realise I'm actually kinda short on money for once in my life) then it'll be purely for mods and modding.  There's no particularly mind-blowing mods I can see but some of them look genuinely interesting and might be better than I give them credit for ^^

Niiiiirgh... Ok, I'm DEFINITELY making that thread. I've been asked this too often now to bother answering in full every time. I want a link I can hand out instead.

Just putting it here to avoid making an entire post off topic.[/span]
