anyone else read it? lets get some discussion about it going!

A friend of mine bought a copy and said he would loan it to me, my mother had read it for book club and thought well of it.

So Wednesday at about 16:00 I came back from chilling at my friends house, I brought Da Vinci Code back and watched the first 20 minutes of the daily show, then I dug into the book and started reading. It was off the bat a fantastic book, one that actually required me to stop and ponder what I was reading. I stopped reading around 19:30 and went over to a different friends house to read my CISCO book and switch off on games of TS. I came back from his pad at about 21:00 and then I read till I finished the book and went straight to sleep, which was sometime around 22:30.

The book itself was much better than I had expected, and the cool part was the secret society in the book actually exists, and the works of art are real as well. The book was pretty trippy in a sweet sort of way, with cryptology and trying to figure what happened with the very weird clues that are left by the murdered grandfather pointing to a code in Da Vinci's artworks pointing out a fact that the church has tried to conceal for ages.

"I don't have to know an answer, I don't feel frightened by not knowing things, by being lost in a mysterious universe without any purpose, which is the way it really is as far as I can tell. It doesn't frighten me."

Yep - so I hear. :)

You want a REAL good book to read after this here one? Try The Satanic Verses by Salman Rushdie  (thanks, Bob :-D).  it's really an excellent book - perhaps among the best I've ever read.
