I'm not the clan type..never have been and probably never will...but as i see the numbers slowly gain on Lunixmonster and the people joining the server i cant help wonder if there would ever be a clan formed...in which case if there ever was...hopefully the server and forums will still be public  .......

Well, if you want a clan, there is basically a Lunixmonster one. Clan NCR has a lot of people that play on the LM server often. Other than that, I don't think a clan will arise, but you never know I suppose...

I'd much rather see a "group" of people with the LM tag than a clan.

FIX THIS!

Yeah, but I see many of you NCRers playing on LM and FSD a lot more, so that's fun. Clans are always more, for me at least, for the sense of community they offer. I can already get that on LM, so why slap up a tag and be at all exclusionary?

It's like I'm already in a clan but with a membership of like 50 people, and I don't have to actually go and play at pre-set times for scrims and such. Viva La LM!

Yeah, Bob said.

Why does it have to be a clan, though?  Guilds are harmless.

might i suggest that LM regs go the way of ppl in the joe.to community. if you participate in the community and such, they put on .j2 on their name, so if i was a joe.to fanatic, my name would be *cringe*  [OldF]*Niteowl-TSA.j2 *dry heave*(makesmental note to take off some of those idiotic tags and such). oh, lets say without the other tags, it'd be Niteowl.j2.

maybe set an end tag like .lm or something? something simple and identifiable. that way admins can keep all you regs from STACKING!! jeebus!! :S ;)

yes, guilds are great. the 'clan' i'm in is  so haphazard, disoraganized, non-competitive, it's pratically a guild. i think it works better for stability/lack of drama etc etc. so, yes! viva la LM guild!!! err, with LB's blessing :D

Ok, I have to agree there: .lm does have a certain understated charm to it. It would have to be in lowercase, as written. .LM or -LM or [{(--ELL-EMM---)}] or what have you are too clannish. As is, it's fine. Or maybe .lmc for lm community.

Totally unrelated, but what is the TSA tag? Just another random guild made up of a bunch of clans?

incredibly loose organization just showoing that you will uphold the ideals of it in game. you'll notice that the other fellows who sport TSA tags are team players, generally good natured fellows. i applied (it's really simple) to be in after i saw a few TSAers who i respected (Keyser, and Jane being a few of them).

Gem: I see, you don't RESPECT the community you belong to. You make the Bob cry!

Niteowl: That's neat, now can you explain what all the [e] [e/a] [e/r] stuff is that TSA people put after their names?

From what I can remember of the original post on the NS Forums, those letters designate the player's specialty.  For instance, [e], if I remember correctly, means engineer.

yeah.. heheh i actually dont' remember them all.

v stands for variable, meaning you like to do/are good at any part of the game.
e stands for engineer, pick this if you like to help build/defend the base, weld things etc.
c stands for commander if you are a good commander
r stands for recon if you like to sneak around and spy on the enemy
a stands for assault if you are an offensive player.

I remember back when I played with all my tags on..
|P| ANeM.j2 <Epsilon>
With a hint of ]WNF[ on the side..
Those were the days.
Bu seriously, clans based around servers suck. A clan shouldn't base its activity around a server, even more so if it isn't actually theirs. I mean, look at Prodigy Clan. We used to be a great, fun clan. Then we lost our first NS server. Yeah, we got another one, but the clan pretty much died then and there. I just hasn't seemed to give up for some reason though. The problem was that all we ever did as a clan was run the server. Without the server, no one partisipated and most people wandered off. Then we got some more servers, recruited like hell.. and when those went down, or even before they went down, all the people we recruited left. I think we went through something like 20 recruits on one server at on point.. I think only one of them is left.  :(

Nah, we're still around.  Our four best people kind of just left but we should be up and active by next week.  Muga basically started out as a whole bunch of people from LM who wanted to scrim, then it became NCR for reasons I'm too lazy to explain.

NCR did lose its good people, so basically anything left of them is community support, the core gamers and clanners who like competitve play are long gone
Got himself banned.
