On account of not having a gaming comp I've been away from NS for a while, but I have been lurking these forums occasionally.  The question I have to ask is if the LM community has died out or if it's just really boring.  The forums are for the most part dead, and what little crops up is entirely uninteresting.  I would be inclined to think that most everybody up and left, but I never read anything about any major conflict that might cause such a thing.  If people still are around, I encourage them to start posting engaging threads.

its summer scooter, thats what happens. kids go out and play because they've been cooped up inside for the last 9 months. it's like being born...just gotta go out and do stuff. plus i believe theres several people transitioning to college life right now, so...
anyway, wait a month and it'll be back to normal.

Yeah. I'm thinking all the life will return when summer ends, September or sometime around that. It's not dead, just temporary resting :)

And some of us are just pretending we do.  At least I'm man enough to admit that I'm pretending I have a life, instead of trying to actually HAVE one.  That's beyond me.

Im always looking for new laws to break, so it keeps me busy.

But yeah most people are busy with summer things, like froloking in fields, cow tipping, swimming in the brook, or blowing bubbles in the park.

For those of us without jobs, I repay my debt to my parents via manual labour. :-D Cleaning weeds and what not out of around the house or any other random job tehy need me to do keeps me busy. Im no complaining, Im just saying some of us are doing stuff. :)

once summer ends.. *shudders* Im sure there will be a lot more people abck in the community,

Hows my comming? PM!

You forgot some of the best!  Poisoning pidgens in the park, murdering helpless animals with massive high-powered rifles just short of howitzers, shooting at friends and family with projectile weapons, and moving about in a zombie-like fashion due to lack of sleep!

ready to be shocked, i know some are..............this IS a part of our lives.....period....no if's ands or but's....guess what? Your posts from your playing to discussions...yeah...they involved your own free time on deciding what to do with it. We're all gonna remember belonging to a kickass community and some interesting matches, ex, i remember a non fighting game which we we're testing limits and capabilities and theorys....the one i remember vividly is when the entire marine team welded me to death....LOL....i wish i had screen shots. I discovered, and i believe everyone else there, that the HMG with no arms lab upgrades can kill and onos in one clip.

If you guys dont consider this a part of your lives, well obviously thats your choice, but i know for a fact you wont forget about NS or some topics discussed or some matches played, compared to other communities i have the most fun playing here than any other game i have....besides guildwars...*cough*....

Summer always has and always will draw people out from their computers, whether it be the warm weather, or the amount of people out and about, plans being made, vacations, you name it, summer is mainly the time to do it.

Many other things could be the answer as well, BF2 for instance, is like a new, better version of NS, without the aliens, in war, with real time weapons, vehicles, tactics, ect. Other games might be a factor, such as World of Warcraft, which, if i was paying to play online, i'd better be damn sure to get my money's worth. I dont pay for any online games, which is what i've loved about online games since i've started playing them.

IN OTHER WORDS, ENJOY SUMMER BREAK

just dont forget your obligations to get killed on the monster now and then will ya?

Is that a serious question Loke?
I guess it might be an American thing though. Cow tipping is pushing a cow over while it is sleeping because they sleep standing up sometimes.

Not many people do it but everyone talks of it. Its more of a joke than reality.

Yes it was. I've never heard of such thing as pushing a cow in it's sleep...I'll give it a try next time I see a cow.

With around 60 people in the IRC room and usually at least 3 of them talking, no reason to use the forums for chatter :D.
