How to record a demo of commage?

Basically what i was wondering it its possible to record a demo of other players on the field when i'm comming.  I just kind of want to see what it looks like on the ground level :-P.

Somebody on the NS forums said its not possible with normal demos but somebody said record with HLTV.  How would i go about doing this?

I think the server needs to have a slot reserved for a HLTV server which you can use to  record a HLTV demo.

Lunixmonster doesn't have HLTV but if it did, you would see it in the Readyroom.

Maxes out at 30 second clips (unless you partake in illigal activities in its aquireing process) and makes you lag like hell when you are recording...  Still probably your best bet though.

FRAPS wouldn't work because i'm trying to record the ground soldiers view of stuff when i'm comming...  One of the playtesters on ns.org said it wasn't possible

um...so let me make sure im understanding this...you're trying to get a demo of you commanding from the rest of the team's point of view, correct?

if so, why not just have someone else on the team record a demo? it would be simple enough, just have one of the admins set someone up to glow white and give em godmode, but make sure its a responsible enough player that they agree to not shoot anything. this person can then make a demo of your comm skills without interfering with the game.

Just relocate more.

Ask one of the players to record a demo. Later, they send it to you - and there you go. You should have no problem viewing it, and seeing yourself as you are to your soldiers. No need to glow white or anything o_O
