burstfire.uk.eu seems to have taken the least of the shelling out of all the gamesurge servers.  Other then that it's pretty much getting blasted to high hell.

I got 110+ retry's on kanzi, and the majority of the other servers I tryed just didn't work period.  burstfire hasn't been down for more then 20 mins all day.

I've been on Burstfire the past week and it's stayed up better than my normal Clanshells.DE. I've even still connected to the American servers during the NetSplits.

they keep getting hit by ddos attacks because theyre not smart enough to secure their network. this happens about once every two weeks with gamesurge. back when it was gamesnet, they actually had their act together and netsplits were relatively rare, not like this garbage we have now.

You obviously don't understand a DDoS attack.  It has nothing to do with the security of the network.  It involves hundreds or thousands of connections being opened to gamesurge each second.. it overloads the ircd

yes, and usually theyre conducted by a single user. i've been on plenty of different IRC networks for long periods of time and none of them seemed to have this much trouble with it. why is it that gamesurge is the only network that gets hit so frequently?

Well, you are right in the sense that they are usually run by one user.. but they use many computers that have some type of trojan on them, so the attacks come from a bunch of different IP addresses
