So somehow my friend managed to unplug and re-plug in his computer about 3 times rapidly while vacuuming his room.

Then the internet borked.

He fixed that. But now when I play NS, after about a minute or two, I lag out and get kicked with an error message that reads:

"reliable channel overflowed"

Any hints on what's been misconfigured over here?

I'm not sure if this is related but in all my games in half-life now I get a ping spike that brings my ms to about 400 every 10 or so seconds. I did a reformat but I didn't get a chance to join lm yet so am still pending.

Nevermind, it's done being retarded.

My buddy put the comp on wireless because he fried his LAN card. He installed a fresh one today, so we're all good again.

My wireless does fine on ns.  802.11b.  Just turn off your Wireless Zero Config service and it works :)
