HL2DM rocks!

I had a little break in Oracle class today, so I fired up HL2DM for the first time.

I didn't have any sound (Couldn't disturb the class), and I was aiming with a trackpad... But wow! Great fun!

I ended up using the gravity gun most often, even when I could have killed a guy faster with a gun. The gravity gun is just way more FUN to use, and gaming is all about fun, not winning

thats why doomaniac is gonna code a throw the crowbar mod, and we are going ot have endless fun with it.
We had so much fun on a HL1 DM server with the throwing crowbar mod. We sat there for like 2 hours before HL2 came out, chucking just crowbars at each other

Oh, I get pretty obsessed with winning in NS, but in a mod like HL2DM, I'm fully able to say, screw winning, I want to throw ^^ at people

I like that attitude, its too bad thats so hard to do with someone pwning you with the magnum left and right and spawncamping over and over.  I'd actually like to see the magnum disabled in fact.

The crowbar world model in HL2 is a real object and can cause damage just like anything else. You just need to already have one equipped and you can throw the pickup one, with your hands or with the gravity gun.

What about modding it in so that the secondary fire pushes you away from where you're pointing? And, also, there's balls of Dark Energy everywhere that slow down after time, and don't explode... And can be punched with the primary.

Take out friction and gravity and you have 3D ASTEROIDS ON CRACK!!!!

You'd have to make it so that when you go to the edge of the map, it would send you to the other side, with momentum and all that good stuff still intact.

Aye, that damn thing takes the fun out of the game. Its always the magnum that pisses me off, especially when u spawn right next to that same person again

no, its just there for atmosphere / decoration. the sounds ar eplayed over their holes, Bob actually shot me and i fell through into one.. theres nothing there but a semi deep hole

HL2 needs mutators for that kinda stuff.
