Well My Weekend Is Gonna Suck...

So I'm in my first year of university, Yay, moved up into my new dorm, a 10 hour drive away from my previous reidence, and now I'm coming to my second weekend up here.  Last weekend was pretty good as my mom and grandma were sticking around while I got all my stuff moved in here, so I went out pretty much every day and did the tourist thing, but this weekend is gonna be teh suxxors.

Why?  Simple, the only thing I have to do this weekend is friggin homework.  That combined with the fact that my ISP really sucks and I have a maximum DL bandwidth of  600Mb weekly or I get fines.  Basicly this all means I can't DL the new NS release because I have already tryed it twice and my DL has frozen both times, meaning I have already used up nearly half my weekly limit in 1 day.

On top of that my roommate is going home for the weekend, so I'm basicly just sitting alone, as I don't really know anyone here, and doing nothing all long weekend (I have monday off).  My homework should be done in no time the way things are going, and then I will literally have absolutly nothing to do for the rest of the weekend.

God I wish HL2 was out

Anyone know a good DL manager?  Every one I ever get freezes up all the time, I've been using the firefox default, just because I know it won't screw up on me nearly as often.  But now that my new ISP is crap, a reliable DL manager sounds really nice.

FYI, I have had the door of my room open pretty much all day, but I already know every one on my floor, and they don't ever do anything cool.  The only cool people I've met have been my roomies buddies (he's from around town, whereas I am from a different province).

I guess I'm gonna go play DoD or something, because there really isn't anything going on right now.

get off the puter, meet ppl, have interesting conversations. when you leave uni and get to RL, you'll never meet a buncha folks more friendly or more social than when you are in uni.

Yea, youd be surprised how much fun RL can be. I was a total pariah in high school, and now im like, one of the big men on campus, its wierd...  It turns out, what momma allways said pays off...  I;m just nice, and i just "be myself" and people like me.

the one time i had someone being an asshole, i told them to leave or i would make them look like the word juxtaposition sounds... and they left, and everyone thought it was hilarious.

My weekend is turning out ok anyways, except for having to wait for NS B5, which sucks any way you throw the dice.  But I had a few good DoD games and my uncle (my only relitives in the area = my uncles family) called me up wanting to take me to the movies tomorrow.  In addition my roommate decided that it was alot funner here than it was at home (all his stuff is here, so that kindof makes sence  B) )  So we ended up having teh fun chilling with teh floormates and watching half of his burned music collection.  Currently listening to surround sound classical music & doing homework, so everything turned out ok in the end.
