My first cell phone(i got for 15th b-day) was in June.
It was a Motorola C333
3 Months later, September, I got really mad cause the phone would call people while I was in school(it was in my pack) even with keypad lock on. So i got a flip phone.

I got a Motorola V60.

Its a pretty cool phone but with the new phones coming out it makes my phone feel stupid :(. also the only cell provider in my small town(Cingular) does not carry the V60s because they are making room for the new color phones. =/

So im getting a new phone. I really like the new Slider phones so i could get a Siemens SL56 (thats 1.7 inches when closed. 2.8 onces VERY SMALL) But the slider does not have AIM built-in.

So i want the new Nokia 3300
This phone has AIM built in,MP3 Player,Fm Radio, and its the first to use True Tones ring tones(where you can use a real mp3 song as a ring tone). BUT Its really huge at almsot 5" and the battery life cheap with 2.5hours talk time and the keys are not lit at night.

Anyone with some suggestions or if you have one of these two phones can you tell me if you like it? or is there a service like www.everywhere-msn.com for AIM where you can access your MSN Messenger through a XML browser?

I heard good things about Nokia 3300 but im still not happy about its size, or its look(its still a phone!, try using your keyboard as a phone - not very cool)

Personally, I wouldn't go with either of those, they're both rather ugly and seem to be unnecessary. If I had to choose, it'd the first one cause it gets the job done. My beef with that second one is I already have a gaming device, a music device, etc, I don't need each of them at a more mediocre level of quality. And I hardly use AIM while I'm at home anyway, so I wouldn't really need it when I'm on the road.

OMG N-GAUGE

So I can laugh at you when you end up in hell for getting one :D

Cellphones = teh suck anyway. Getting one with AIM or whatever is just pointless IMO... go with just a basic phone.

Trust me, not a single person on this PLANET besides you want to hear some stupid MP3 song you have for a ringtone. You might think it's cool, but try asking other people if they want to suddenly hear Slipknot (That is, if anybody there can even STAND Slipknot to begin with :))

That is unless your cell-phone is compensating for something...

I dont care what other people think, its my phone and i paid for it.

Grimm i guess your right, The Nokia 3300 is pretty ugly but I want aim built in. I guess ill try for the slider phone its really small and "gets the job done". I dont think the Nokia 3300 will fit in my pockets when i go out to partys so i will have to hold it which sucks since ill be using 1 hand already   . Thanks for your advice.

Personally, i think the new slider designs are great because they are small when closed and open and the smaller the better. Besides, the nokia 3300 has only 2.5hours talk time while the SL56 slider has about 6 i think.

Well i'm using the Nokia 6610 Small, Nice easy interface, extremly lightweight GPRS... etc

I'm not a fan of Picture phones I believe if you want to take pictures use a camera. This does have the option to add a camera if you want one.

There is a newer version of this in the process the 6620 coming out soon.

Th N-Gauge.. good idea personally I think it's far too chuncky to carry about in your pocket. Also i'd have no battery left if I had one of those.

Idealistically (and this is what i'm going for next) is the 6800 (or the better model at the time). This badboy looks like a normal phone but has a lurvly flipout keyboard built in. Very good design + nokia software so very easy to use.

The 6800 thingy from nokia... while the features sound pretty boring, the flip-out keyboard idea is and looks cool beyond comphrension XD

Ok i got the S307 from Samsung so ill give a lil 'review'

Compared to my last phone Motorola v60. The S307 is half the weight of the V60 and alot smaller and just plain nice. That blue light is the service light that blinks every so often to tell you you have service, You have the option of changing the service light to any color you like. Also, when your phone rings the color light in front 'dances' to the beat(with like 10 colors) and when its in silent it flashes different colors over and over.

The backlit light is blue, a favorite. High quality LCD and it just plain LOOKS GOOD. The size is SMALL. The colors are nice. I love this phone.

I bought web service for this phone too :)

1 problem: The lil arrows(near the I(for internet)on the above picture)are too small you cant really touch those with big fingers..I try to play pacman and i hit Hang up call right near the arrows.
