most cards say uninstall the drivers first then remove it carefully, and then download the drivers for your old card

if the card is on your motherboard, uninstall the drivers, then go into the bios and disable it.

errr for me its f4 , to get into bios when you restart.. wait for your computer logo screen to show up.. then you hit the right key, go lookit your computer manual to see which key gets you into bios... its prolly one of the f1-4 keys or delete .. :p

Turn off computer.

Open case.

Take screw out of card bracket. Pull. (Some AGP slots have little tabs at the end of the slot holding the card in, make sure you pull this open, they vary in style, so you'll have to figure that out on your own)

Plug video into onboard.

Enjoy games with much lower FPS.

If your board isn't total crap, it should detect that there's no card installed in the AGP slot and start using the onboard vid instead. If not... well, reverse the process so you can get back online and I'll try and help you further. ^_^

I assume you are removing your card because you have a new one.  Just take the card out, put the new one in, and install the new cards drivers.  Removing the old cards drivers is ussually not nessicary, but sometime will cause issues of all shapes and sizes if it is not done.  Follow bob's how to for removing the card and then do that in reverse for the new card, remember to clip it in.

You didn't need to format your comp, and a card in the AGP slot is not an integrated card for future referance.

Use the CD that came with your new card to install the drivers manually, then download the latest version of directX and the latest card drivers from the website of your graphics card manufactures (Nvidea website for geforce, ATI website for radeon and soforth).  This MUST be done before any of the newer games will run properly.  I know that for a fact because I updated to a 9800 pro just recently and tested with farcry before updating my drivers just for the heck of it.  Crash city.
