LIMITED KEYS - GO GET IT AND WE CAN BE ALL LIKE 'WEEEEE'


Actually, it's just a fun game (not like the original Tribes, but I like it because it's differnet. All the whiney tribes1 bitches cried that it wasn't a clone). There's a lot of neat mods, especially the bizarre CONSTRUCTION MOD! (Quite possibly the most amazing take on deployable boxes I've ever seen)

i was always a big fan of "Renegades" and "Shifter"

those 2 mod's are the best IHO


lets not forget "FOOTBALL"  omg best times in T1 football hahaha flying jetpack tackles HAHAHAH pure gold.

Tell me quick: This is just the old Tribes 2 made freely available, right? No new version that doesn't work together with the original retail version, right? I'm not gonna bother then, got it from a bargain bin a year back or so.

yea it's just the old tribes 2 made freely available, Tribes 1 is also free now, it's because a new version is coming out, so to advertise - just like Hidden and Dangerous.

And about me having it, i also got it from a bin.

I bought it when it came out(well a bit after).  Stopped using it after a bit.  Then when the free tribes 2 thing comes around, I decide to play it again.  Well what do you know, I lost my account and I don't have my CDKey anymore.  So, managed to get the CDKey from a link without actully downloading the game, which was nice.
Still don't play it much though.

I played it a little, more than a year back. Had a lot of fun when I happened to team up with two skilled bomberdudes (I got the bombardier's seat). We were bombing the crap out of everything in sight. The rear gunner was real good at shooting pursuing fighters down and shaking missiles off our tail, the pilot was excellent at pointing the bellyside of the bomber towards various targets. Never have I used the cannon as much as there: Pecking snipers off hilltops, cracking the thick armor of a tank, blasting away pursuing fighters... I ended up at the top of the scorelist that round, despite being rather new to the game.

eh... i bought this game a LONG time ago...

it was cool back then, but it always crashes for me and there seems to be so many patches i have to dl and that... i just got frustrated and gave up on it...

i never liked the mobility either... it almost seemed like you had TOO much mobility as a trooper (with the jetpack) and i have always pictured ground troops as dudes running on the ground headstrong into battle... not flying around like a bunch of pixies..

besides, ut2k4 has pretty much everything t2 has plus sweater graphics. and you can't fly.

i dunno. it was fun while it lasted i guess. i can still remember me and my bro teaming up against the bots, cloaking, and bombing the enemy generator. twas pretty sweet.

Tribes 2 has -lethal- weapons, and also a more specialisation. Specialisation = forced teamplay, teamplay = good, yummm.
