Steam Borked?

my steam is broken
after a dayofdefeat update that i downloaded...

everytime i try and start my steam i get a steam.dll error and it dies miserably
anyone have an idea for something i can try?

ok i fixed it, i had to empty my steam folder and redownload everything all over again

Deleting clientregistry.blob and platform.gcf works too...
