Would You Play On A UT 2004 Server?

Depends if there's a large enough community for UT2004.
UT2004, although i've only played the demo feels like a mod for UT2003.

I'll probably wait a few weeks before buying but if i get it, i'll definetly play on a LM server .

Yah, so I pay a visit to amazon.de to see whether they have the game. Of course they do. Only problem is that it's the GERMAN version. If I'm lucky, it's just the manual that's in german. If I'm UNLUCKY, the excellent voicework that I so loved about the original UT - and which seems to have only improved in 2k4 from what I could hear in the demo - will be spoiled by a drab, lackluster, devoid-of-soul-and-life german voiceover. Take the announcer with his deep, evil voice: There's something insanely satisfying about it when he shouts ULTRAKILL. Now imagine somebody delivering that same line in a bored baritone.
In short, I just don't dare take the risk. I'm not buying this until I can get my hands on an english version.

i gota find a dvd version of 2k4, went to this one best buy and they only had the 6 cd version .. sure i coulda bought that but the dvd version is kooler  B)
time to continue the search....

and i dont think they would replace the normal announcer with some german fellow cuz that would be extremely odd, probably just the menus and stuff are in german , but having some drab guy announcing would suck, since thats one of my favorite parts of the game ULTRA KILL KILL KILL

Never can tell. Only way to find out is to buy it. I'm not running that risk.
