just thought i'd say this, since a lot of people have troubles with the server not responding.

as per Devnull's advice:

use lunixmonster.org:27020 as the IP. (works for me)

HLDM is the original multiplayer version of half life. Before there were any of the many mods that half life became one of the most bought games ever for, there was just single player half life and HLDM.

DMC, on the other hand, is a look-alike of Quake 1 Deathmatch done as a half life mod.

um, for some reason, my steam is not seeing this.  and it used to.  and i'm wondering if this is a problem that other people are having, or if it's just me and my gH3-|--|-()ne55.

The HLDM server has been down for a while. At the moment we've only got the one NS server up, until whenever someone decides to put a new one up.
