A bit off-topic, but I was wondering how leap was "exploited" back in 1.04, which forced flayra to reduce leap damage.  Anyone know?  I miss the old leap  :(

wasnt it he old "bind a key to impule so and so to make a hive 2 skulk jet around at super speeds"

i dunno if that was the reason, but that exploit allowed you to spam leap very fast without energy usage and killing any marine you fly into.
This is going to be some kind of reunion, isn't it?

I hate when LA marines chase after me as onos, there SUPPOSED to piss thier pants when they see an onos. <_<
I didn't.

I chased the bugger. Then got hugely irritated when all my bullets did NOTHING!

Oh that and I hate all the people in general discussion because they all seem to play aliens and want to nerf all the "useful" marine stuff even though its mainly the aliens that are unbalanced.

FIX THIS!

1. Not understanding what the comm is trying to make me do.
Believe it or not, it annoys me to no end when I can't do my job  v_v

2. Getting RS kicked.
Well...every non-regular hates this, i'll bet :D

3. Emptying a full shottie clip close up of a fade in Combat and then getting slashed to chop-suey.

Admittedly, this has so far only been a beta 4 problem, but it still makes me whiny like a widdle girl when I get my ass kicked as a marine in co maps. Incidently, I haven't seen a marine win in combat yet...

4. Spawning, and then getting munched. Continously.
Yes, I know. It's a part of the game. It still makes me pissed each time it happens  :D

You're kidding right? Aside from the Lerks movement exploits, Aliens are kind of at a disadvantage - to stand a chance at all, they need to get a 2nd Hive up and at the same time chew down enough nodes to disallow marine teching. And while they're at it, save enough of their own nodes (which with some basic knowledge are relatively soft targets) to field enough lifeforms against the amount of tech marines will inevitably field, node-chewing or no.

In public games, marines even have an organisational advantage. In competitive gaming, admittedly organisation is the aliens saving grace - delayed Skulk rushes, organized ambush spots near RTs and all that increase their chances at getting a good first 4. But they're still pretty weak.

when i'm commanding, and THREE vets, all go to subspace array, when i SPECIFICALLY give orders to attack mother hive with EVERYONE ELSE, even after i've beaconed.. uhm.. no, not thinking of any game in particular, nope, nuh uh. on the plus side, george, rayden, fatty and some other LMers got to see pure, uncut, Owly Grade Commrage.

they should understand i'm willing to sacrifice one hive position (pg and an rt) to take down one of their hives :S snap.

4. Yo-yo lerks (the ones that bind +jump to mousewheel)

5. Comms who build turrets in holoroom

7. Hearing the phase gate in the hive your team is destroying go silent, then having the comm tell you that base is gone.

8. The fact that my lunch break is over, damn!

That one really made me laugh.  Another one is when you're assaulting a hive with a heavy train and suddenly you see the upgrade icons on the right disappear.  You look on your minimap and there's 4 red blips in MS, and you say "uhhh comm, is base alright?", and he's like "Oh shi-, get back to base!", and then you say "the phase is down, beacon!", and he's like "NO OBS!", and you're like "BUILD ONE!", and he's like "NO RELOC!", and then he tries to build CC/IPs/armory/arms lab with 50 res, and fails to build the proto before the adv armory is destroyed, and on top of that, the whole heavy train dies while building the IPs.  YES, it has happened MORE THAN ONCE :D  :D  :D

I'm prety sure that happened to me the other day! In my defense i didn't start comming till about 4 minutes into the game so the fact we manage to even get one hive and HA was in itself quite a feat.

When you jump and start evolving in mid air, but your poor Fade egg lands on a steep angled piece of map geometry and gibs 2 seconds later.

Plus all of the above.

Going onos in an unbuilt hive and some res-happy gorge drops it along with dc's so when i "hatch" i can't get out due to the unique way the oc's are placed and the map terrain....a very specific event, and also very annoying ;)

At least with FF on, an onos can plow through a wall of lame with a little bit of effort.  Haven't tried it with a hive healing it though, must be a real pain.
