I regret to inform you guys that i will be playing NS and CS on LM less than usual. My PC has carted away by evil demons. just kiddin, its in for repairs for a while. As the topic clearly stats, THIS BLOWS CHUNKS.

Never the less, i will still be posting on forums, and chatting on irc from my office PC. I will keep you all informed as to the condition of my PC.

P.S. THIS BLOWS, I CANT EVEN TRY OUT BETA 4!

Beta 4 = Beta 3 with some map tweaks. And apparently co sux even more now. So don't worry, you're not missing out on anything fabulous. We'll keep an LMG warm for you until you get back though.

don't worry. You're not missing much. A few new sounds for weapons, two 2 minute lerks instead of one 4 minute fade, and saltz is impossible to kill as a lerk now. in-FRIGGIN-possible. If you see him, run for the love of god, RUN

CO is 1 person respawns every 5 seconds, no matter team size.
This is even worse than before <_<

Co is kinda cool now.

I like it...Its over in under 10 mins now...w00t..If marines dont win fast they dont win at all.

buh? Last time I played CO it was always under 10 minutes.... cept for a few fun 30 minute games which I <3 very much.... but that was before fatties olo!

it depends on what you mean by fast. About 2 min was the average time the marines were winning during the ConstyPT. Not sure if it is a good thing or not, but the marines need teamwork now. Push forward as a group, retreat to spawn if you get decimated.

Bah, I'm not even good at Lerking. But anyone that knows how to exploit the lack of vertical capspeed and/or infinite flapping can be a real pain to take down - tight corridors/obstructions and luck are required. Basicly like a Fade high on crack, sugar and adrenaline straight to the heart at the same time.

Actually, there is a maximum speed that any moving object in HL is restricted to (in any direction). Although, I believe the default for this is 4,000, so it's not likely to affect anyone very much. The maximum speed is the reason why you don't accelerate indefinitely when falling, it simulates a terminal velocity

Actually I believe it scales down to two seconds with larger and larger teams.

i dont know exactly, we had a team of 6 and it was every 5 seconds.

well, what he wants is Fast and quick games and he gets them. If he wanted to fix the whole spawncamping issue, he would've kept the spawn invulnerability in the later betas, but he didn't because that makes the games longer. Spawning one at a time only helps the game end quicker

Is anyone but flayra obsessed with making games end faster and faster? Seems with each new version of classic, the epic battles get fewer, and with each new version of the beta they try and make co quicker and quicker. I mean, who cares? The BEST cames in NS are the ones that last for 30 mins or more with each side gaining territory and losing it. And co annoyed me a lot less when it wasn't all about spawncamping.

I think he just wants to see if he 'can' make it fast and enjoyable, since he was successful in making it long and enjoyable

meh meh meh co is still as bad as ever but it is better than ns with 4 people only in the server

anyways i dislike this new spawn system even worse than the last
