Does anyone know the true story? Does this normally increase your accuracy? I have had this feature turned off since I started playing 1.6. I had had this feature enable while I play 1.5. I played much better when I played 1.5 but only because I had played longer and more often. I' m still uncertain whether or not dynamic crosshairs has anything to do w/ my 1.5 Pwnage! Is there a similiar feature in NS for the marines?

    I don't really care for anyone's opinions on the matter. I would really enjoy some developers story on the idea of dynamic crosshairs. Does anyone have any links? I have read a few things from various players from the cs-nation.net forums. Once again these are only matters of their opinion, not fact.

Dynamic crosshairs are when it does spread apart to estimate recoil. This was a new feature added in 1.4 (i think it was 1.4, if not then later). Before then, it was a static crosshair, one that just stayed still.

Yes but this feature isnt an option is it? I mean, I never thought you could turn it on or off.

What ?
I've been playing pre-retail versions, and the dynamic crosshair has always been part of them, as far as I recall that. However, the zoom-crosshair of the Sig-machinegun and the Steyr Aug used to be 'static'.

I never played without them.

'back in the day', we had static crosshairs. And then CS implimented dynamic crosshairs and they kept bothering me, so I turned them off, recently, I've been getting used to them though.

Is there any way to change the crosshair color? The green is fine on some maps, but on maps like aztec I tend to lose the crosshairs a lot since everything else is so bright also.

You can also bind a key to adjust_crosshair.

    Adjust_crosshair changes the color. It has nothing to do w/ Dynamic Crosshairs.

Speaking of console commands, does anyone know the command for not displaying your weapon in NS? I have an odd tendency to shoot better when I can't see my weapon  :huh:

Also, if anyone knows the command for getting quickswitch to work in NS, i'd like to know ^_^;;

Alrighty. I kind of suspected it, but I thought some people had found a legal way around it. I should be able to live without it :D

What kind of quickswitch are you talking about?  hud_fastswitch 1 style?  Or is there some other, more devious kind of quickswitch I don't know about?
