More reserved slots = less llamas. When 3.0 came out, we seemed to lose almost 70% of our playerbase. I'm sure you remember those days... 4 res slotters and 12 newbs... we've finally gotten to a point where we're LITERALLY overflowing with slotters

I asked about a good server in the NS irc one time..Then LB pmed me asking what kinda net I had and where I lived.  Then he gave me a RS.. He didnt even get to see me play. (Thank god)

It's true. I'll check the server and if there's not already a handful of RS playing, I won't even bother getting on. Fortunately I've rarely had this problem lately.

Well, that's not entirely true. Sometimes if there are zero res slotters on, I'll join and keep my eye on people, because you never know who's being a total llama while no one's watching and driving away potential good playerbase. But for fun games, I always make sure that there's a good RS to random pubber ratio.

Oh, that threads ok. If you consider how quickly those discussion usually devolve into real flame-fests, it's surprisingly civil and matter-of-factly. Sure, not everyone will agree with how we run things over here, but they're not required to. As long as they stay off the server our rules don't bother them, and hence they need not bother us with disobeying or disputing them. Easy.

as for the nub problem... every time I sign on gorgerush, I have phun and am not nubbed out... besides, usually half the players on are admins so we can just kick lamers like mad!

That's actually why I'm here. CoFR lost a slew of regs and stays empty a lot. That, and the gameplay has deteriorated immensely with ppl giving up so quickly in matches that a game is rarely finished before F4. The quality of player there is still great, but the gameplay lacks from time to time. This community is great most of the time, fun to play, and a challenge. I've noticed in the short time I've been here that the gameplay has improved immensely. When I first started I almost ALWAYS had to elec TF in base b/c of teamwork/skill issues. now I can revert to my old tactics and win most of the time. GJ LM regs!
