Our cat got, hmm, i think it was four kittens so we had to give away three of them.
And now the one we had (named Tussy) ran away so we only have the old and boring mother

Although I do not have a picture of the cat I am about to describe I will tell you about him anyway.

His name is Merlin and he likes to go after things like most cats. The funny thing is he leaps. Exactly like a skulk. Its the coolest thing I have seen in a while. If he wants something, BOOM! hes halfway across the room and 4 feet in the air and I'm like LMG!!!!twelve!!

Hafafaf I have a cat, I dislike it, and I'll get a pic up right around when I get pics of my dogs and comp up oll . Yeah my cat isnt very smart, it attacked my Norwegian Elkhound when it was a kitten @_@.

So after I get out of college, and actually get a place where I can have a cat, what type of cat should I get?  I realize that personality traits are different for each cat, but in general is a particular breed better or worse in terms of friendliness, trainability, etc?

You can NEVER "train" a cat.  All you can do is teach them to do something and then they will do it when they feel like it.  Cats are way too independant to be trained though.  But maybe I just have some weird cats.
