Come on, let's put 'follow orders' in the rules. I sooooo want to be able to warn/kick/ban people for not doing what the comm tells them.  >:D
i think we can.. it goes under "Teamplay is enforced" or something to that effect.

I want to kick/ban people for being stupid.

Example: I'm building an RT on ayumi with another guy, and we get wasted pretty badly. I die and in spectator I see another dee-ood running down the hall towards us. I'm thinking he's going to save the RT. Instead he stops to weld shut a vent about four feet from the RT in question. You can hear them chewing on the RT and he just ignores it, welding away. Then he gets killed.

I should try commanding more, I've only done it once and didn't have a CLUE on what I was supposed to do. I dropped a couple IPs and an armory and arms lab and a few seconds later three bajillion onos came and killed it all :/

If it took you so long to figure out how to drop an IP and an armory that by the time they were built onos were showing up... well, try practicing in private first. ; )

Nah, really you should try it. Your normal hot-headedness should translate nicely to COMMRAGE. But, get a working mic first. Makes it that much more fun.

For the most part, I've still been playing on Lunixmonster almost exclusively. Once in a while I'll hop on FSD for some co_ action, but not very often.

If you ever need someone in LM and I'm not there, just gimme a shout in IRC, either Grimm or Grimmus will get my attention as I have those set to alerts.

nah, my marines listened to orders TOO much, and it drove me insane, they wouldn't do ANYTHING without my giving them a waypoint. :/ Plus it was 4 vs 4...

Move to your waypoint soldier.

"No problem."

"Ok, now what?"

There's a weldable over there.

"Ok."

...

What's wrong? What are you waiting for?

"Where are those orders?"

Don't you have a welder?

"Uh... Yep. Got one."

What are you waiting for then?

"Orders. I just told you. I clicked the right mouse button, moved the mouse to the left, then up, then clicked again. My marine said "Where are those orders?" So what do you want me to do?"

...

Weld target at waypoint.

"Roger that."

Ok, I'll drop that RT over there.

"Sure thing."

All right, now to handle all these medpack requests.

Hmm?

Marine, why is that RT still not built?

"I think that's beause nobody has built it yet."

Smartass. Can you build it?

"Of course I can."

...

Then why don't you?

"Oh, you want me to build it?"

YES.

"No problem."

Ok, phasegate next. Soldier, PLEASE BUILD IT.

"Right away."

Ok, everyone back to base, I'll hand out some heavies and we'll go take out the hive.

...

Right, you've all got heavies and weapons. Now Move to your waypoint, soldier.

Good, build that turret factory. I'm upgrading it... Build the sieges. Oh, sweet... Watch out, Onos.

...

Oh right, I forgot... Marines, SHOOT THE ONOS. Yes, good, nice, you're doing fine.

Why have you all stopped firing? What's WRONG with you? They're devouring you one at a time! Don't try to weld the Onos, SHOOT IT! What...

"Oh, you mean you wanted us to stock up on ammo before we left base?"

*bang*

"Commander? Commander, everything all right? Commander, why is your name in red? Commander? Hello? Commander?"

That's basically it, Lito. The range for the special orders to show up is TEENY. I don't know why they haven't fixed that in all this time. =\
