I don't think we should be able to vote CO maps as you'll all run it into the ground and ruin it for the rest of us. I enjoy CO but quite frankly I'm sick of everytime we get to an NS map someone changing it to CO. You want to play CO all day then go find a server that doesn't run classic.

We have to get back to LM.  Its been flooded with noobs.  Not just noobs in a sense that they never come to Lunixmonster, and they just play occationally, we're talking noobs to the point where Sancho is hailed as a god commander, Holy_Devil would be accused of cheating time after time after time, and marines are going "Omg, commander, give me mines or else i won't goto the waypoint" (Yes...someone actually said that...while i was comming...commrage....rising...)

I'm not saying that Sancho is a bad comm, hes an excellent comm, but if he is a god commander, then what does that make Holy_devil?

And, never have i heard such a level of stupidity on lunixmonster where a marine REFUSES to move out unless he is given mines.

Get your butts out of FSD for a while, since its combat only, come back to Lunixmonster, and lets unnubify it to give Lunixmonster back the shine that it once had.

I've been missing out on most of the FSD and LM action for the past couple days from being away (at friends houses and such) and being sick (as anyone in IRC might recall). Being sick really hurt my gameplaying, I was more tired than I though and I ended up being more useful as a Gorge healing the hive (which isn't bad, but usually I'm the cloak/focus lerk sneaking around marine spawn, or the Onos goring them as they walk anywhere outside of their base).

But now I feel much better after getting it all out of my system and getting a good night's sleep (almost 12 hours, which is insane considering I usually only sleep for maybe 6 hours), so you should see me on more often now.

3.0b2, whatever. NS mode is laggalacious. CO until we can't stand it anymore. We can still try NS maps if you want, it just not so much fun on many of them.

And yeah, LM is of late fallen far from its former glory. I specced/played a couple games last night and witnessed many horrible things. Gorges dropping sensory first specifically because they had been told to drop DCs first and they knew it would annoy people. Three gorges (yes THREE) sitting around a resource node trying to figure out how to drop an RT. Marines refusing to move to their waypoint without an HMG/Shotgun/whatever. Marines getting totally lost on the way to their waypoint, even with the commander leading them with a string of waypoints about ten feet apart. It's just a big mess. Sancho could tell you more stories, as he is a masochist and likes to continue playing there and always ends up comming because everyone else has no idea how to.

So PLEASE people. If you get the urge for some good classic NS, hit a few of us up in IRC and we'll go invade LM!

LB has gone mad with power and now bans on a whim, or for no reason at all. JHunz has become obsessed with underaged asian boys for some reason. And CWAG spends all day telling us how cool he is as compared to anyone else in the rest of the NS universe.

Wait did I say going crazy? I meant everything was exactly the same as it always was... Anyway, you should still get back into the game as soon as possible.

Yes, the community has been quite horrible lately.  But as Lito pointed out, I'm loving it

Its great joining the server with a 2 hive lockdown, and then single handedly clearing both out by chomping on the TF with all turrets on one side.  Comming is pretty much an instant win as long as half of the marines go to the waypoint you give, which happens more often than you would think.  It would be nice to get some real players around sometime, though.  Most of the games are an easy win, but I've had some games where I thought I was going to explode.  We had one game yesterday where my team (aliens) had every node on the map and three hives.  Then a heavy train started that took 1 hive and was going for the next.  I kept yelling for people to save the hive, but the 2 onos were doing more important things.  2nd hive gone and they're heading for the 3rd, still no one comes but a few skulks.  Thankfully they were good enough to get the CC before they got our last hive <_<   And then there were marine games where marines simple would not go to the waypoints, at all.  They would stay in base and beg for jetpacks, and then would gracefully lose them as soon as they got them.  Indeed, we need better players.

Also the lack of admins has been a big problem.  The language filter is bypassed all the time but no one is there to do anything about it. o_O
