To keep from derailment in other threads, here you go.

I use edsf, for it is the key config of winners.
R reloads, because it should. Mouse5 and B are voice spam buttons. Mouse4 and A are lastinv buttons for killer fading and skulking. T is chat, Y is team chat. Q is the all important press-it-as-fast-as-you-can flashlight button. And Z is use. Z is always use in every fps I ever play. I'm not sure why.

Those are the only really important keys. Oh, and UIOP are bound to DC, SC, OC, and MC because sometimes you need a quick chamber, and because for some reason each of those keys reminds me of each chamber easily enough that I don't forget which is which.

I just recently made some fairly large changes to my configuration (the weapon switch keys in particular, I used to have them as default), and I am still adjusting some controls.

WASD is movement.
Space is jump.
CTRL is crouch, and ALT is toggle crouch (script).
Shift is walk.

Mouse1 is attack.
Mouse2 is slot1.
Q is slot2.
E is slot3.
4 and MWHEELDOWN are slot4 (I actually just bound it to MWHEELDOWN, and I plan to settle on one of them).
R is reload.
MWHEELUP cancels a reload (lastinv;wait;lastinv).  I actually don't find this any faster than just switching to another weapon and back, but I use it for convenience.
G is drop weapon.

Mouse3 is the pop-up menu.
F is use, and backspace is toggle use (script; for building).
3 is flashlight.
C is minimap.
Tab is scoreboard.
~ is console.
T is the ever useful spray logo.
P is nexttrack, for when I want to hear some nice, atmospheric music.

Z and enter are voicerecord (not that I ever use it).
Y is messagemode.
U is messagemode2.
X is 'need healing.'
V is chuckle.
B is taunt.

O is offense chamber.

[ says timeleft.
] says nextmap.

/ is /stuck.
\ is kill.

KP_MINUS is retry (to avoid the map change crash in 2.01).

F1 is jointeamone.
F2 is jointeamtwo.
F3 is autoassign.
F4 is readyroom.

most of my keys are entirely set up for alien play so aside from the typical default half-life keys and maybe default NS keys...

6 = offence chamber
(there's a gap between 1-6 and 7-0 on my keyboard so it's easy to remember ^^ )
7 = dc
8 = mc
9 = sc
- = Resource Tower
= = Hive =3

f3 = skulk
f4 = gorge
f5 = fade

f7 = carapace
f8 = silence
f9 = adrenaline
f10 = cloak
f11 = scent of fear

Ugh, you lose if you think I'm going to wade through that enough to even find if you use wasd or esdf. You are bant for teh lazy!

Just list out anything special or interesting about your config. Any tips or changes that have made it easier to play? Share those!

er.. T for voice talk.. which sucks sometimes, cuz i can slip and press y, which basicaly turns off voice, but keeps me yelling into the mic :S

l is bound to the BIND OOFF PPAIIINNN! (which i get a surprising number of requests from regs for)

] is bound to csay, so i can spam my trying to be funny comments all over your screen, or, more likely, just give away the position of the last rine 'hiding out' for 'fun'

err. those are all the interesting binds.. oh, j for joining rines, and k for joining aliens.. if you noted that it's AWFULLY close to the dreaded l, well, now you know why it can happen at odd times.

OK Then, I use the arrow keys.

The Number pad 1,2,3,4 go with their respective weapon slots, ctrl is duck, mouse two is jump, enter is reload and End is drop weapon.

I have sort of an offshoot from the standard WASD.  I like being able to control the majority of movement with my trackball mouse, reserving strafes for the keyboard.

I found it best not to use keyboard shortcuts for evolutions and chambers. Way too much risk of smacking the wrong one late at night.
