Well, as most of you know, BF2 demo was released, and it has consumed my time. I tried playing BF1942 when it was released, but my PC couldn't handle it then, and I never gave it another thought. Now, with BF2, I'm really enjoying it. Regardless of the fact the map map is a bit monotonous, hey, I'm an NS player, monotony is life. Well, what do you guys think? What's your favorite soldier type/side/vehicle?

BTW, if I'm online, and NOT in NS, I'll be on the radclan server for BF2 (couldn't resist when I saw rad for a clan). It's actually a good server, no Voice over IP though. FF is on, and smacktards are dealt with well.

my favorite class is either spec ops or medic. I really don't have a favorite side aslong as the side i'm on is playing as a team =p when you get a group of 6 people acting as a squad its really fun.

Apache + Hellfires + Fly By Wire = Owntyouthanks.

This game is your standard team push map, until you get teamwork.

Then, it is frikkin awesome. A teammate and I once had to reload our chopper 4 times, because we destroyed so many people/tanks/bogies. Amazing, just amazing.

Oh, and the squad leader system, genius! I've been going squad leader, getting in a blackhawk, and just flying over the attack zone dropping my boys off and commanding the fight from above. It _wins_.

I'm always confused when i play it... san andreas and NS are still more interesting for me :-P

It was fun back in BF1942 to go around in a jeep and sneaking up on enemy snipers and hitting them then carrying them on your hood and then crashing into the water  :D.

Downloading now, 26%.

Jeez... took me at least 10 mins to find a download place. Sign up here, wait in line for half and hour there, move to romania to get above single-digit speeds... bleh.

I wanna play BF2 with you guys. The one time where i played with someone who communicated it was a complete blast. We did loads of driver-gunner runs, and then later on foot, one medic, one support (potentually unlimited health and ammo).

Get X-Fire, and then we can meet up in the game easily.

I use "ukchaos82"

I should pick up the demo now... was putting it off at first because I figured the DL times would be pretty scary for the first little while, but they should have calmed down a little now.

Meh. I didn't like it, at all. Maybe I'm just too used to NS... but it really wasn't my type of game.

Yes, because it's exactly the same game as BF1942 for the most part, except that it facilitates teamwork destroying everything.

I did not expect the second part.

I was not a fan of BF1942 or Desert Combat, but I'm still divided on this game. On one hand the core gameplay is virtually the same as DC. On the other hand, it has a lot of nice features that definitely help the stupid rambo pub play from the previous games. The Commander and especially Squad Leader functions kick ass. It's great being able to run around with the same group of guys all over the map and spawn right back with them; the boring solo mentality that was so prevalent in the previous ones was my biggest gripe. I may end up giving the retail a shot, I can imagine it being a lot of fun once people get the hang of using the new additions.
