Eek? Looks very weird... what is it exactly, I couldn't really tell. Maybe an RPG sort of thing?

Wow, I want this game. It looks like The Sims meets SimEarth... or something.

I'm not sure my description will do it justice, but it's a massive game that basically takes you through stages, also apparently allowing you to stay in each stage as long as you like.  There seem to be elements of survival, character manipulation, strategy, city building, and intergalactic conquest all rolled into one game.

edit: Just read the article, I suck at explaining.

just read thru both articles

looks awesome, and seems to offer virtually unlimited amount of replayability
especially since the way they're coding it, it will end up being a very small game, that's just awesome

a whole race in a 1K file?  :o

It does sound extremely cool. I just hope the game won't focus TOO much on just messing around with things..because without any objectives at all, the game could get boring. Think of the GTAIII games, it's fun to play around in the cities causing carnage, but (for me) it's even more fun to do missions.

unfortunately, what i'm gathering from these articles is that it will indeed be a single player game, simply because if you and a friend start playing (say on a server) and start evolving, let's say you two have begun a city and someone new joins.. they'll be really far behind :/
i'm not too sure how it'll work, maybe they'll find a way, but i suspect it will be single-player only..

it also seems to be designed as an "open-ended" game, meaning there are no clear objectives, just be the strongest that survives..

sounds fun because of the amount of features that exist for u to modify, but it also means there wont be much of a "mission" to set u against because existence of clear-cut objectives would cause you to focus on achieving that rather than being open-ended and "fun" in a lego-clay building sort of way

not sure i'm explaining this very well, but that's what i feel from reading and seeing this

This game looks to be an amazingly entertaining game, and might change the way video games are created.

I suppose it will be like Sim City, where you have things to aspire for but no actual objectives.

I still play black and white sometimes.  ... until I get to the world where the evil guy curses your monster, and it basically undoes everything you've worked for.

God, I'm old.
