World Wind is a 3D map of the Earth. Using Landsat and Shuttle Radar you are able to zoom in and look at any place on the planet. Also anywhere in the US you can zoom in so far that you can find your house, granted that some of the data is old and outdated. Check it out all the info and the DL can be found here: http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/

The program does sound pretty cool. I'll definitely check it out.
It's twice as clear as heaven and twice as loud as reason.

Bummer. Would have been fun to look around town with this, but 30m/pixel won't cut it.

I found the place where I work. My house seems to be obscured in some shadow, though. I can see where it should be.

Very cool program. I only wish they had photo images of europe.

its a strange feeling, zooming so close that you can make out the details on your own car.

Extremely cool.  ^_^

How big is your car?  This thing only zooms to a resolution of 15m to a pixle...

The resolution is absolutely horrible for non-USGS urban area ortho-enabled cities. However, in the cities that DO have this special set of photographs, the resolution is incredible - you can, on some occasions, see where people are. :o

Ah, you got the detailed maps. Lucky, you're in one of the cities which have this :)

Is there something wrong with mine. I seem to zoom into Edmonton and I just get this white screen and A little loading box in the corner pops up every few seconds with the words USGS above it.
