You  have always been able to load weapons into the game.

If worst come to worst you could get the weapon model where you want in relation to the players hand model and then weld them together...

No, the old versions of Garry's mod didn't feature the noclipping, you couldn't put weapons in hands, because they'd pop out.

Ah, ok, I didn't know that.

In the last couple versions you have been able to force two objects to noclip eachother with the multitool...  Very usefull for making models interact with eachother in creative ways.
