My first time…

So this is a show I’ve always wanted to go to, and this week my husband surprised me with tickets to a performance of it.  It is a college production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show.  Basically all I know about it is that I LOOOOOOOVE the sound track, I have an odd addiction to it – it’s one of those CDs that if I were trapped on an island, I’d want to have it with me.  Yeah, I’m weird.  But I have heard that various performances of it got really involved with audience participation, and if you didn’t quite ‘fit in’ you got pulled up on stage and ridiculed.  I’m not sure what to expect, I’m just uber excited.

Anyways, the point of this post.  I am a very ‘normal’ looking person, and it has crossed my mind that this is the type of thing you dress up (err down?) for – as in goth.  What should I be expecting?  Any apparel / makeup suggestions?  Should I watch the movie first or will the play be pretty self explanatory?

Watch the movie. Yell the same phrases when the audience does. It's a very very VERY odd experience

The movie ITSELF is pretty odd, and watching it is even odder. I really suggest  watching the movie to get primed.

OLO mondavi, that means it's at the centar which mien parents have season tickets to all events.

I myself haven't seen the RHPS but dress gothy, black, fishnets, etc. Watch that one drew carry episode where they all dress up and go see the rocky horror picture show and have the dance fight infront of the theatre. That should give you *plenty* of ideas

Plus watching the movie first shouldn't hurt to much
