Metal Fatigue was fun, but it really started sucking when your mechs wiped out everything on the surface, only to find that the enemy had tanks galore underground where your metals couldn't go. So you'd have to re-tool your whole army, get tanks, go down there and get crushed by their static defenses. Really sucked.

ditto, they could have solved this problem by putting a timer on the hp of all units trapped underground

I discovered today that the source code for warzone 2100 has been released, and the full game is available for download here. The .rar includes the full source code and the game, which is in the data folder.

I'd love to play this, was going to last night. But I had to sleep, beause it was almost 1 am. I think it's a valid excuse.

Anyway, as soon as low un-nubs himself and gets ai working, itll be even better :-D

BTW theres a program called warzone starter, lets you get it running dif resolution (and helps with ai too I think) Nifty thing, bit buggy, but what isnt?

you can get it there, thats the newest version Ive seen, Just unzip it and install, youll be set

EDIT: And a note on Gameplay, I played this game a little bit, but didnt get far. It looked fun, and the create your own unit thing was simple and fast, but I'd think it'd take a little getting used to. (like going from fps to rts, which it is

)

games pretty fun, last night me zero and leader played over an hour long game... 99% of it was just me sittin there listening to music and teching

got a bit boring after an hour tho :/
