First, what music do you like? Theres only 2 good rap stations if you like rap but channel 67 is _really_ good.

No ads? only 20/100 stations are ad free but the stations that do have ads are like once every 20 mins and only 1-2 ads prolly On-star or directv.

SOUND QUALITY: AMAZING

I have XMPCR(XM PC reciever), AMAZING AMAZING SOUND.

There are some FM stations rebroadcasted into XM - not many. I know LA KISS in LA in rebroadcasted and they are a really good hit station.

During the holiday they were offering free activation but not sure if they are anymore. 10$ activation, 10$ monthly, 50$ equipment.

I rate it 9/10 and it would of got 10/10 but they billed me 10 days early once and my credit card was already maxed so i got a 40$ fee.

I know im getting XM Radio in my new car.

*Channel 67(rap,r&b) has like 4 DJs always doing their mixes. Hot stuff.

heres a screeny of their remote..i always dont like this open so if you alt-crt-del from it you can close the remote and listen to the radio while the pc is off.

*EDIT did i mention - MTV,VH1 has stations on there. Also Disney, CNN,MSNBC,CNET and other big companys have stations.

Sounds good. I like rock/alternative mostly. I listed the bands I like above (on pg 1, well look at Blaq's list). The monthly fee isn't as bad as I thought it would be, and some ad free stations are better than none.

EDIT: Read your edit. That is also a very nice perk.

Welcome to The List. It's probably not too widely known, but i like a stupid range of music. I'll try not to go into sub-genres too much, but i inevitably will.

Hardcore
Punk
Hardcore Dance
Skapunk
Reggae
Traditional Ska
Chamber Music
Classical Music
Ambient
Avant Gard
Prog. Rock
Metalcore
Death Metal
Black Metal
Grindcore
Old School Hip-Hop (NWA / PE, etc)
Drum n Bass
Jungle
J-Pop
J-Rock
Eurobeat
Trance
Hard House
Happy Hardcore
Digital Hardcore
EBM
Industrial
Electronica
Synthpop
Futurepop
Noise
Gabba
Speedcore
Goth Metal
Power Metal

Well, without going into too much detail, that about covers it.

To give an idea of some bands, recently i've had the following CDs on rotation in my car:
  • Hepcat - Push 'n Shove (Traditional Ska)
  • Give 'Em The Boot 1-3 (Punk + Traditional Ska compilations)
  • The Berzerker - Dissimulate (Death Metal)
  • Goteki - O/S (Futurepop / EBM)
  • Bal-Sagoth - Battle Magic (Black Metal / Power Metal / Fantasy... stuff)
  • Bonkers X (3CD Hardcore Dance compilation)
  • 25 Ta Life - Strength Through Unity (Hardcore)
  • Dropkick Murphys - Live On St Patrick's Day (Punk)
  • Sublime - Sublime (Ska / Punk)
  • Darkthrone - Soulside Journey (Death Metal)
Yeah.... I like too many different types of music.....

I really need to listen to more of their stuff. I heard some of it, but I should check out more.

P.S. I didn't see you anywhere on LM .
