Nice to see you took your time to come into this thread. Well anyways I'm just wondering what you guys do for a living. Well me I'm still young so I have no job for now. But I plan to be a Pharmacist, School Isn't really doing to good for me. I messed up the past 2 years by hanging out with the wrong group. I'm doing fine in everything except for math. But my teacher said to get into university I would have to have atleast 75 for all core. I'm worried about this cause Math is quite hard cause it builds up on every year and toobad for me that the last 2 years of my life were messed up.

I plan on being some kind of Network admin or working at Microsoft (there are some advantages to living in Seattle).  I'm only in High School, but I'm working toward my CCNA, and am going to major in some form of computer sciences when I get into College,

I work part time at a hardware store in the paint department since I graduated from highschool about a year and a half ago. I also go to college full time, taking the computer network systems program. Also do some computer work/web design stuff on the side.

Me, I'm going into IT-support this january. It'll be real fun, having to clean out viruses and spyware every day, replacing broken "coffee cup holders", wondering how the HELL they managed to plug the mouse into the printer port and so on... Oh yes, this'll be fun. But there's always light on the horizon: I COULD get run over by a marble lorry. Ah, one can dream...

I do mindless Excel spreadsheet drudgery for a living.

I don't really mind it; I'm happy so long as I can sit in front of a computer all day. :D

Yes, what hunz said. You get paid COIN to be a phramacist. Like, senior developer  (65k ish and up?) type of coin. Also, all the baby boomers are goin into the goldenyears == lots of ppl needed drugs.

Nothing wrong with being QA for a gaming company, just keep in mind it can be really tedious, you work hell hours, and youdon't get paid a whole lot.

What do you wanna do with MIS? Most of the folks i've seen in the industry with MIS are QA or BAs.

Well, I'm sure everyone knows what I =used= to do - professional level design.  These days I work in the aquatics department of a PetCo, specializing in marine aquatics (saltwater stuff).

Working on developing my portfolio to get back in the biz, but I have so little time, and... my fishies need me!
God, I'm old.

Wow, NHS president, good job.

I just graduated from college back in May with Computer Science and I work as a software engineer at an large unnamed computer hardware company   :p   I'm saving up money to go to Digipen and get a Master's degree, and from there plan on being a developer in the game industry.  I'd like to work up to development lead positions (but certainly not management!).

confused - my gf is about to graduate with an English degree, so we feel your pain.

That is what I do. I am employed here and they have stationed me here.

And the only thing I admin is the in-office print server, but that will hopefully change with promotions.

I'm a shipper/reciever for a sporting goods company. Starting wage was only $10 an hour and it's not the most glorious of titles but I couldn't have asked for more. I basically walk around the warehouse getting items for mail order customers. Things ranging from guns to tents to fish hooks. It's pretty nice because you're always looking for new things and every day you are rewarded with at least one "holy grail" of items that noone else could find but you. Pay isn't great but it's a pretty down to earth job.

If you plan on attending post secondary I would highly advise against going to university. In Canada you pay about $30 for each one hour lecture to hear some jackass tell you how is research is going. It's mostly theory with no practicality and jobs don't hire based on education.

I'm a student who doesn't study, with no money and no job.

OK to explain I'm on a year abroad from my University (www.durham.ac.uk) doing French and Spanish. I should be working but finding a job in Barcelona is tough work. Around March I'll be going to France and then I'll be starting my final year at Uni in September/October.

After that... who knows!? As soon as possible I'll be submitting my first NS map to the community but I have high hopes of getting it official, or at least some international recognition. Following that I'm gonna keep at and also learn to make detailed, custom textures and Models (world, weapons, players). Ad finitum.
A lovely thing to see:
