Worst thread title ever.

People with a reserved slot get the penguin, admins can get their own personal icon if they so want. If not, the normal admins get the usual green thingy and the rcon admins get the lightning bolt.

that lightning bolt needs to be remade....it's ugly as....as......*profanity*.

Why not make it light blue and make it have a thin egde around it.

If every admin will have his own icon it'll look so cluttered and noobish. Like a noob server with 19238 plugins :/

I agree with Clashen too plus the green admin icon is instantly recognisable as its been around since 1.0
I agree with DHP too. The Lightning is a bit o_O Should be more snazzy or jazzy or other words with double z's in them.

<3 the new penguins, normal admins should have green dealies and that lightning bolt is kind of dull :/

While one type of icon for admins would make it more recognizable, Red's lemon icon is hawt. If we do get rid of the custom icons, make it so the rcon admins keep their lightning bolts so, you can tell they have that access (but first make it nicer looking like already said).

One thing I forgot to add is I'm not sure if I like the penguin superseding the dev icon.

On one hand it makes it so that the nublets who play on LM aren’t like OMG – A DEV!!! HIHIHI. But on the other hand, playing with a dev is a definite treat – why hide their identity.

I think we shouldn't have all of these custom icons. Why was it changed anyways? It was fine with admins simply having the green icons (or no icons) and anyone else having their respective icon. admin_who was sufficient to discover who had a reserve slot as well.

People bitch about icon stack already even when its just vet & constie icons (which don't mean a thing but w/e). There will always be whining & the tux's look cool so keep them.

i do like this idea really, and i wasnt truely seroius about everyone having there own icons (but it would be cool). but i do think that with the "auth" command you should be able to turn the icon off, just like any other vet/constie/pt icon etc. I just like to do this sometimes because if one team has more icons than another it can cause some people to become upset, even if you arent stacking the teams but simply joining the one with less players. As of right now however auth doesnt turn it off. Not really extremely nessecary but a nice feature i think that should be added.

I'm personally a big fan of the icons, keeps me from having to do admin_who all the damn time. The stacking problem does exist, but this covers up people's vet/constie icons, so THAT's a good thing for the "OMG STAX" nonsense. Also, with these icons and our "skills", people are going to see iconstacked teams losing a lot

so hopefully that will shut people up about iconstacking.

Also, it helps you see if an RSer is smurfity smurf smurfing.
