I was the one who installed the new plugin, so I'll address the concerns I"ve seen here. First of all, let me say that the primary reason this new plugin was installed was because ServerOps was broken with b5 and has never been updated.
that lightning bolt needs to be remade....it's ugly as....as......*profanity*.
Why not make it light blue and make it have a thin egde around it.

One thing I forgot to add is I'm not sure if I like the penguin superseding the dev icon.
On one hand it makes it so that the nublets who play on LM aren’t like OMG – A DEV!!! HIHIHI. But on the other hand, playing with a dev is a definite treat – why hide their identity.

Actually, I've updated the plugin config such that any steamID that has a dev icon assigned to it currently will not be overriden with our penguin.
i do like this idea really, and i wasnt truely seroius about everyone having there own icons (but it would be cool). but i do think that with the "auth" command you should be able to turn the icon off, just like any other vet/constie/pt icon etc. I just like to do this sometimes because if one team has more icons than another it can cause some people to become upset, even if you arent stacking the teams but simply joining the one with less players. As of right now however auth doesnt turn it off. Not really extremely nessecary but a nice feature i think that should be added.

The auth command functionality exists in the AMX version of the plugin, but didn't make it into the metamod port (the author is primarily an AMX coder, and I presume he didn't know how to implement it in metamod)
As to those concerned with the size of the downloads, the largest icon we have on the server is 1.34 KB, the rest are around 7-800 bytes. On a 14.4k modem, you could download all of our icons 9 times within 30 seconds.
