We are going to try two new maps in the mapcycle on LM!

ns_mystic and ns_nirvana! Both are made by blueman (I used to test his maps back on Nano-Gridlock  <3 ), and both are supposed to be sexy!  ^^

Both maps are available in a package here! Or download off the server.

I'm sure he would love feedback, so post it here!

Link doesn't work?

Mystic has 2 bugs:
The marine start wont weld shut all the way, making it possible to shoot through (exploit)
The C-Tunnel ladder cant be climbed up, its like a wall.
The vent leading to a hive goes vertical, it should probably be a ladder without the texture

Wanted to comment on these with what I think.
-Its not much of an exploit if the mapmaker didn't finish it completely. :p
-The ladder works sometimes, happens with the ladder in Aux Gen in ns_caged.
-The vent isn't made for marines, so there isn't much reason to have a ladder in it.

Now to add my two cents about it:
Its a good map, small enough to not get lost easily, nice vent system, and overall nice layout and texture style. My beef with this one, however, is that there are many small, cramped corridoors. Especially the corridors around Cargo Bay Hive, its nigh impossible to defend that area as an Onos with a buncha marines hopping up and down the platforms, dodging the gore, whilst the Onos gets trapped in the hall leading to the ladder in an attempt to escape.

They're both decent maps. My main complaint-comment-thing is that there's not much to differentiate one map from the other. They're both pretty similar visually. If two custom maps are introduced at the same time, it might be better if there were something to tell them apart by. Hydrosity had the whole water thing going for it. Neither of these maps have much that's 'special' to make them different from each other, or even from any other NS map for that matter. That and Kharaa own on them, due to the usually small number of people, but that's getting better as more people finally get them downloaded.
