Counter-strike Warcraft3 Mod

I was wondering if we could put the Warcraft3 mod on the CS server, it would make it a whole lot more fun to play there, and I bet that more people would actually play there for a longer period of time.

I hate WC3 mod for 3 reasons

1. you join late game and you might as well get used to spectating.

2. some of the powerup things are so cheap. (like werewolf where u can regnerate HP, cloaking, and i especially hate the leech shot where you gain the HP lost from the person you hit. all u need is a awp headshot and your at like 400 hp.)

3. it lags too much. CS LM seems to be lagging alot, i dont think it needs to lag spike anymore :ph34r:

for WC3 mod you really need a full dedicated CS server, it takes a lot to run it especially if you want the SaveXP feature.

I just played a server with "the Force" mod in it, its quite cool you get a max of 2500 xp, it goes up by 10 every second, you can use things like Force lightning(zapps a enemy), chain lightning(dunno wit that does yet), force see (turns gamma really high to see dark spots) force heal (heals you by 5 hp per every 50 xp) and force push, if you seen the movies you know what the push does, which is freakin awesome, and force persuade (i dont know what it does but it cost 1700 xp so it must be good)

bah , im indifferent to puttin this on the server, as long as it wont lag really bad and make people overpowered then sure go ahead..

Although I have had a lot of fun on a few different Warcraft 3 mod Counterstrike servers, I think it would be best if we didn't have that here. For me, its fun enough just playing with people from here, I don't really need the mod to liven it up since we've got such an eccentric group already.

And yes, I've played a bit of the WC3 mod in my day and have absolutely hated it (especially the aforementioned orc grenades or the hobgoblin grenades of the superhero mod).  It's just...not very fun.

So my vote is a big fat thumbs down.

I know he's played it before, if he hadn't he wouldn't know about the grenades. Actaully, I think its safe to assume that anyone who plays Counterstrike has at least happened upon a Warcraft 3 modded server, either on purpose or by mistake.

I was refering to the fact that although the mod isn't even on the Lunixmonster server, he's already complaining about it anyway. We havn't seen either Lightining_Blue or JHunz make a comment on it, so we don't even know if theres a chance that it would get put on the server. So please, at least wait until something has been confirmed and set in motion before you start griping.

On a side note, the Orc nades aren't all that bad. I've only died to them a handful of times in a few dozen games. Although that probably would be because I don't rush into tight hallways right away where I know there could be a grenade tossed in, you just gotta play smart.

Trust me. You will never see WC3 mod on the CS server. Not if I have anything to say about it.

Edit: I should be playing on the CS server very soon. Updating alot of stuff on my temp dsl.

Nor will you see it if I know anything about JHunz or LB. It simply modifies the gameplay way too much from what I can piece together.

The Warcraft 3 mod is a nice change of pace, but there's already plenty of servers out there with it, there doesn't seem to be much need to put it up here.
