Favourite quotes (My replies with the dashes before them)
"This mod will be made quicky."
- Ooh! I want a quicky too!
"We will be adding lots of new content because skilled moddelers will be working on new content."
- But apparently no skilled spellers.
"We need coders to extract NS beta 5 or 6 game code and port it over to source."
- Oh what fun! You intend to decompile NS to assembly language and then port that to a Source mod, still in assembly language!
"I understand that there is a possible NS Source made by the NS team, but we will release this game before they do."
- I guess he doesn't think NS:Source will be out within 3 or 4 years?
"We will be naming it Natural Selection: Source and they will be forced to name it something else."
- Yeah, because you know, nobody enforces trademarks and intellectual property laws.
"If their source game is good we will be taking stuff from their source game as well, thus making this the best Half-Life 2 mod ever!"
- Ooh! Trademark violations AND copyright infringement? Tell me more!
"Legal action? Not to worry if this mod is made! We from France"
- Oh, that about explains it.
"We would like to recruit someone from Poland or Belgium in case they track us to France. If they do we will be handing all game data to the Poland or Belgium member to contunue the project for us."
- Oh no, they'll never guess you're in france. Because you DIDN'T just tell them that's where you were.
"It's not like they will sue us or anything because we are not selling the game. Mods are free."
- Of course not! Companies don't care if you rip off their products and make them available for free. Nobody has ever been sued for stealing software! You are safe!
"Comming soon in about 3 weeks or less (maybe)"
- Must be a spelling error. Not sure if it should be "Cumming soon" or "in about 3 years or less". But of course coming from a mod maker with such a total lack of knowledge of coding or the law, maybe coming never would be more accurate.
