Regarding A Reserve Slot....

I'm not begging or anything here, so just let me plead my case.

I have a lot of school, and a girlfriend, and basically i'm busy a lot.  I'm sure many of the regs can tell you how much I'm able to play, and basically, whenever I have free time, thats what I do.  I seriously enjoy playing on LM more than any other server, becuase of many things.  Ping, players, map lineup (cept for origin  :ph34r: ) and many other things.

However, a lot of the time, I just want to play a good game of NS with people that are in the same caliber of play that I am in, and its difficult at times.  Which is why I love LM so much....  theres always a good game going on.  But, a lot of the time theres 16/17 people and, obviously I can't join.  I assume this is one of those reserved slots, and MAN, how nice it would be to be able to jump in that spot.

I dunno...  I'll never be on IRC becuase I hate IRC, and i'm not much of a forum poster, but maybe I can get a couple of regulars here to vouch for me so I might procure a reserved slot?

Immediately, I'd say tough luck - our standard answer when people ask how to get a res slot is

• hang out on IRC
• hang out on the forums
• hang out on the server
• be nice, obey orders
• never EVER ask for a slot.

But those are guidelines. The bottom line is what the purpose of a res slot is. A reserved slotter gets first dibs on the server. He can join even when it's at full capacity, simply bumping an unslotted player off. The idea behind reserved slots is that we give these to people we would rather play with than anybody else. The best way of getting a res slot, then, is to charm us into giving you one. Make a favourable impression when you get a chance to play. Make people think "damn, he's a nice fella to play with, it's a shame to see how he gets booted off the server all the time."
