http://www.gametrailers.com/gt_vault/t_finalfantasy_12.html Here's the trailer to Final Fantasy XII, from what I have seen it looks like they are going back to the basics on this one and even heard it takes place in the FFT world.
Don't mess with me punk, I'll post in your

I haven't been excited about a final fantasy since VI, and my lack of a playstation doesn't help...

Way to get a +1 for unwanted negative posts there, Sancho.

Hey, maybe to continue the negative posts, I think I'll rant here for a bit about how much my life sucks... <_<

Anyway, the trailer is pretty cool. I very much like the fact that FFXII is set in Ivalice because that's where FF Tactics Advance takes place, so I know a bit of the background. Although XII has some changes made, like how the match judges that enforce the laws in Tactics Advance are more of an abusive collection of knights trying to get more power in XII. For just a second or so, there is a shot of one of the Totema blasting its huge energy beam down, very cool.

I like Ivalice and I noted the bunny girl at the end but overall the trailer just didn't give me the 'OMG EPIC!!!' feeling of the others.  Maybe it was the music, maybe it was the scenes, I dunno... I just can't get excited about it =P

Well, I'm not sure if this board has the same rules as the NS one, but I'd be willing to bet their damned-near the same.

Basically, its pretty A-Holish to post that you don't like something in a thread about it being great and all. If you wanted to make a negative comment, waiting until the appropriate time(like when were done talking about how great it looks), or make one that has a good reason instead of looking stupid. <3

And yeah...this doesn't have the "Epic" feeling...though it looks more like a tech demo to me. Showing off the low-poly-highrestextures more than anything else, along with the seemingly new battle system.

Lies, if we had an 'if you can't post anything nice, don't post anything at all' rule, Uranium would have been banned a looooong time ago!  :p

You just come up with all these clever lines. :D

So far, all I know is that the male lead in it looks more girly than Tidus, but it won't matter if the rest is awesome, I think.

EDIT: Now MGS3 and RE4 looks quite interesting.

It's twice as clear as heaven and twice as loud as reason.

Yea, I generally don't like posts where people come in just to say something negative, and I would prefer that people follow that 'If you don't have something nice to say..." mantra. I don't mind if people complain, as long as they have an intelligent/constructive post along with it.

Commenting on Geminosity's notice of the 'bunny girl'; Are the Viera not in all, or most all, Final Fantasy games? I know they're in Tactics Advance, and in Tactics as well, so I figured they were a a common part of the FF universe.

nope, they're entirely native to tactics and nowhere else =3

I wouldn't exactly call my post a massive bolt of positive opinion for the game either so I dunno why you're all juming on poor sancho; I've seen far worse posts than that, so I dunno why it's suddenly become a fashion statement in this thread to beat on him :p

...Or is this just a 'release the built up anger' excercise? ^^

Did anyone else catch any of that Japanese at the end.  I got the honto part and the boku part and thats all I knew.

I can't really draw any conclusions from the man saying honto, but the girl saying boku means that she is a fighter or really a cross-dressing man.  I could try to draw more conclusions if you want later, but right now I have homework.

Oh the katakana at the end says fainaru fantajii or in real English Final Fantasy.  I always love putting my nub Japanese skills to work.

I'm rather curious now about the Viera being native to the two Tactics games. Are the Nou Mou and Bangaa also native, because after thinking about it for a bit and searching online, I can't seem to recall/find anything about either race in any other FF games either.

yeah, FFT only... I think humans, chocobos, colored magic, and Cids are the only REAL constants throughout the FF world :D

...and spiky hair...

could use more spoony bards...

Viera, Bangaa, Nou Mou, Laws, clans, Totema and Judges are all totally specific to the tactics series ^^
Well ok, totema are really just glorified summons but you know what I mean :p

All those races are entirely unknown to me, and I've played VII - X. Hope that helps.

DIE SANCHO!!!!

oll just kiddin :), now seriously, I dont know why you people would get an "epic" feel from it, considering it doesnt even have an english in it, meaning it wasnt designed to get you to want to play, only to wet the tastes of hardcore final fantasy fans.

Oh yeah, BANGAA BANGAA!!

I reveal penis I know psychology.
