Just to warn you before any rabid Magic fans assault you, none of these really have anything to do with the game.  ;)

Hida, I have some kind of promo pack of L5R cards. I got em from a magazine a few years ago that happened to have them in there, along with the Pokemon cards I wanted (yes, I used to play). Its unopened and eveything, I wonder how much its worth...

What was the magazine called?  Was it the Wizards of the Coast one?  If so, the pack is sadly worthless as they made those cards from some reason unplayable.  I mean really why?  But open them up and play them!

And nothing wrong with Pokemon.  It's actually a fairly decent CCG as oppose to Yu-gi-oh.  I trained my sister on it before moving her to L5R.

I want to say it was a... Top Deck magazine? I dunno, I'll have to check it when I get home.

And yea, Pokemon is a good card game to start on, helped speed the Magic learning process up as many of the basic rules are similar.

Also, I probably would get into the game, except for the fact that I don't really need another habit to dry up my already limited money supply.

I agree totally with Grimm.  Nothing to do with the game.
